My 6-month old channel reached 1000 subs 2 days ago (4000 watch hours about 2 weeks ago.)
It gets about 2,800 views daily consistently for the past 20 days or so, and it's growing to 3,000 as I see.
I activated everything for monetization 2 days ago.
The CPM I have seen on the studio (what advertisers pay) ranges from $3 to $6.
But for the 2 days, I earned $0.3 and $0.6
How is this possible.

1# Niche
2# Tier
If you get views from India you get very low $.

This will depend on the audience, tier 3 country audiences will give you low cpms, so focus on topics that will attract viewers from tier 1 countries especially USA, some of the ways to do that is use American voice overs , topics that specifically USA Audience will watch.

There is another reason too why the cpm can vary, during the holiday seasons that is October to December usually the cpms are higher compared to the other months, so this is also a reason.

Yeah, niche and target audience determines a lot of that. Consider targeting tier 1 advertising location and see if that changes much. A lot of factors also play into it, after all not just those two.

Might be temporary. It depends on various factors . Like you got lot of traffic from low paying goes that two days and thus less rpm.

Low RPM can be caused by a combination of factors. You can gradually increase your RPM by optimizing your ad settings, improving traffic quality, creating high-value content, and improving user experience.

Congratulations on becoming profitable! Reaching 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours is a big milestone, but low earnings can be frustrating.

Depends on niche and which country views come from

It's been just two days, gives the algo some time to adjust ads to your audiences.

It can be related to the country of your audience or the niche of your videos, you didn't provide us with many details

Niche and viewer locations, gotta get them tier 1 viewers.

Your earnings are low because the CPM you see in YouTube Studio doesn’t represent your actual revenue. YouTube takes a 45% cut, and the RPM (what you actually earn per 1,000 views) is usually much lower.

Not all of your views are monetized. Some viewers use AdBlock, and others come from countries where advertisers pay less. Additionally, since your monetization is recent, YouTube takes some time to optimize ads on your videos.

Check in YouTube Studio to ensure all your monetized videos have the green ($) icon. Wait a few more days to see if your RPM improves.

maybe people who are watching your videos are from india, bangladesh, philippines and other countries with low RPM

Has it returned to normal now?

If your audience is not highly engaged with the ads (for example, they skip them quickly), it could reduce your overall earnings even if the views are high. Also note that CPM rates can actually fluctuate based on the time of year and advertiser demand. Certain times of the year (like holidays) can have higher CPMs, while other times may see lower rates.

This problem depends on many factors such as industry and location...
