Hello, Affiliates!

I am working in affiliate marketing for a long time, my main goal in work is to bring affiliates to CPA Networks. So I am buying banner ads, emails, write context in blogs at different forums and make everything to bring affiliates to CPA Networks.

I know, that iGaming is so popular now, Stake is one of the most recognisable casino brands in the world. And you know what, I have never seen advertise of their affiliate program. For sure they have it, but why they do not promote it? Have you ever see Stake affiliate program on BHW? Me – no, they even do not have account... Stake had affiliate "landing page" on their main casino website. I think it is also a problem, because you could not bring traffic to it though digital ads – FB, PPC, YouTube and etc.

Much easier to make new website like "stake.affiliates", on which will be only info about affiliate program, not a casino. And promote it through Facebook, PPC on your own brand, PPc on brands of your competitors, broad keywords like "affiliate program" "gamling affiliate" and etc. AND also banner ads on affilaite forums, emails, threads and a lot of think to do! Now Stake do not promote their affiliate network and I do not know why!

I think now Stake is something like Aviator — recognisable brand thet brings people to online casino, like the brand that people thinking about when they hear „online casino” or „crypto casino”. Something that if you will try casino, so it would be stake. "Drake favourite casino". Very famous TIER 1 brand with white roots,a their own streaming platform, a lot of local events in top geos and etc.

So such product could bring a lot of costumers just because they hear about it! And they have some trust to brand.

And the same with affiliates. Stake need to promote their affiliate network to bring a lot of new affiliate that will generate traffic all over the worlds

Affiliates want to promote famous and recognisable brands, it is much easier!

Imagine combo – Stake + Aviator. What CR do you expect?? Have someone of your tried this combo?

Stake works a bit differently.

My neighbor is heading an agency of traffic buyers engaged by stake.

They involve these to educate target markets on crypto , their in house scam(provably fair) games and they don't fear any uphill battle. That agency is paid 600k per month for 3 countries, this involved doing Google cloaking ads and such, this is before seo efforts etc. And then suddenly it's wow they captured a good bite of this geo.

Before they got banned on twitch, 9 out of 10 streams were streamers broadcasting stake, they do not think of affiliate programs, they want it all, they hired the proper streamers outright exclusive, paid well and subjected them to do much more engagement than just streaming.

Besides, the brand is not doing well, they have not been curacao or malta old schoolers and their parlor tricks and lack of fundamentals have catched up, they did very impressive marketing approaches, very smart, but have a look at bcgame tp reviews it's a horror show and all the crypto casino which came along back then, no job postings.

Stakes golden handcuffs are now copper grade rubbish.

Are you saying that Stake is starting to lose market share? Stake could promote themself with "millenial" casino and etc. Annyway, Stake is the most famous crypto casino and Stake can make their marketshare even bigger!

They do it’s just not obvious. They pay some people a lot of money to promote their brand as opposed to paying individual advertisers

It turns out that Stake is dependent on these people, and affiliation can be a diversification of traffic.

Not really, they are dependent on them to drive new customers but they’re already mature and have a stable user base.

They've done that already by letting minors play and sending cat pics and hickey mouse pics for kyc would pass.

This was one of the reasons the twitch ban happened. Lose marketshare might be not the precise term, they have reached a very high plateau, they have brand recognition, not sure how the do affiliation itself nowadays last time I was involved in such was like 3 years ago.

They do have an affiliate program, still, maybe they have already onboarded whoever they wanted and can afford to wait to be discovered by who wants to find

It seems you're not into sport betting shpere, if you were you'd understand what OP is reffering to, it's all a mirage.

Do you have iGaming traffic already ? TG or SEO ?

affiliate teams could bring really a lot of traffic. Also, i think in model that you describe they can not calculate roi and tell exactly how much and for what they paid. For PR, Digital? If they start working with CPA they will pay for real players. Now most of gamlbing affilaite networks pay not just for first deposit, but also another important activeties from user on the casino platform,. For example. player need to make FTD and in 14 days make deposit again. Not only the first one important, but aslo second and third. So in CPA Stake pay only for real players that play.

Money for money. And you can calculate it easy

Almost all or ALL well-known casino brands have their own affiliate programs and actively promote them – 1xBet, PIN-UP, Betway, Bet365, 1Win – all these casinos have affiliate programs and receive a significant amount of traffic from them. Traffic for casinos = a constant influx of new players. With a properly structured baseline, you can pay only for high-yield traffic... So why, if ALMOST all casinos have affiliate programs and promote them, does Stake not do so?

Affilaite markitng for iGaming is like goldmine, you pay for those who play and with Stake recognizable you can use it even in your affilaite program, by making harder KPI for affilaites.

Of course stake has an affiliate program, but they are in a position where the affiliates will come kno king the door by themselves usually, they also have account managers which do outreach, but yeah, they pretty much grabbed all partners they wanted.

And between influencers and affiliates, there's very strong allegations of strong haircuts and manipulation allegations, they're not in the very best standing everywhere.

I think it's so they can control their image and the way people promote them

Well, still, 1xbet and most of all popular and worldwide online casions promote their affiliate programs. Stake had enough money to promote their aff program mostl;y at all forums and website with affilaites. It is not big money for them, typically you need around 150-200k per year to be on all affilaite forums and websites with banner ads, emails etc.

I just think that affiliate programs is more popular for brands from Europe and CIS, but stake is West brand so probably that is why. Or they just have not done it previously and now, when they have reach and recognizable do not know why they need to do it .

This reminds me of a story I will never forget.

Affiliates for online casinos can be seen as parasites, depends on how you see it.

I've worked in a casino which was the fastest growing ever before stale came along and took that title.

The c level and the owners and the devs and pm have been by far the smartest people I have ever worked with, also on a personal level, not just professional, they were the only ones with own multi tenancy and websockets back office and a microservive architecture , 120 components in golang, the website basically never , ever had a downtime and the devs never had touched golang in their life before, just to give a rough idea.

After the first brand was extremly successful, the ceo made an all hands meeting, it was very technical, everyone was required to understand gitlab amd to properly raise an issue, everyone but the cleaners lol.

He said the only mistake that really bugged him was to not have a bigger SEO team and focus from way before launching the brand. They had a team of 10 for seo from launch, but was already too late. You kinda need 10 top experts to compete with the affiliates in that niche, else you do not stand a chance. Most do seo after launch and breakeven because ot costs a lot but he accounted for that but was still too late.

Because the affiliates would push content before you even launch, they know the licence registry which has to be publicly listed with the licencing authority so they will release 1000s of seo articles before you even launch and then re sell you the traffic for 40% rev share or 150cpa plus 40% rs hybrid deals in tier 1 markets.

So he launched another brand and transfered the existing players without the affiliate codes to the other brand he said that was his biggest blunder.

So yeah, if you have great seo, in house or hybrid like stake does, the reliance on affiliates decreases. Affiliates for houses without seo are the most costly part for online casinos.

I hope this puts things into perspective.

There's casinos out there who can do seo there's others who's strength is knowing affiliates they don't care about the cost, just the traffic.

These decisions are made before launch.

Stake was on footie t shirts early they had branding very early. Once youbhave branding, affiliates become less important, still good to have.

Affiliates can bring traffic not only from SEO. I visited pretty much affilaite conferences, talked with affilaites, team leaders and SEO is around 20-30%. Most of traffic going from Facebook +PWA, recently from Google UAC. Some affiliates could work with Google PPC, but you need to have really a lot of money to work like this. Affiliate teams are very strong because all their processes are well-established—media buyers only deal with advertising, separate departments work with partner programs, generate creatives, and write texts.

Solo affiliates are now the exception rather than the rule, as the market is consolidating around teams, because this significantly increases your volume and the amount of traffic you can generate. The problem with most casino products is that they don't know how to do math, but I can see that this is changing.

Nowadays, it's not enough to pay only for the first deposit; you need to track the player until the second and third deposits so that you have LTV and the traffic pays off.

As for Stake, I still think that with their budgets, investing in promoting their CPA network would not be a mistake. I think I already mentioned that to cover the best forums/sites with affiliates, you would need just $150,000 per year.

For a company of Stake's caliber, that's almost nothing.

In which geographical area did the casino where you worked operate?

lol, Stake still heavily invests in affiliates. They have their in house platform available to anyone (which is more of a referral program), but their big deals are exclusive and locked to heavy hitters.

Mate we did the social casino thing before that turned sweepstakes on FB, it never turned profitable ever, the standard affiliates typical in igaming are bringing all the traffic.

Cpa is also the worst deal for a casino, they don't like cpa deal and almost nobody can deliver positive cpa value, it just doesn't happen.

We operated all over Europe minus Sweden and UK.

Screw your leaders which have spoken to you, this was awarded best and fastest growing casino off all time before stake came along. Seo is nor 20%, it can't be qualified. It's worth much more, it's really very simple, either you have your own serps or you will be paying very dearly via affiliates, hybrid deals with the rs part being 40 percent and such. That's a lot of money.

You don't need to visit affiliate conferences, you need to visit igaming conferences and expos.

You cannot worknwith Google and FB unless locally licenced, that's also very important to state. If there's no local licence, you have to cloak or promote social casino and then convert, both of which are not as efficient as the standard monopoly holders.

Every casino you go, in the affiliate departments it'll be the same structures and companies, really.

And yeah stake does have its affiliate program, feel free to use it. They don't have to promote it because they're a massive, massive brand name, every affiliate that mattered was or is woth them. They're past the point of "we need to be discovered".

What they did very different than other was streamer deals , that was unique and very efficient.

You had very succesful career, it is good opportunity to work in such companies! Do you still in iGaming or you becom ean affilaite? Yeah, I heard about streams advertising. Girl named Corina Copf protescted it also from another girl when twich banned gambling ads)) And stake made kick – also good idea from them! They like one step ahead of all market
