Why some websites build low traffic backlinks and still success?

I checked some websites, and their website traffic is stable and rise up,
when I checked most of their order backlink, Most of backlinks have lost traffic now, although they have some DA authority, I don't think these links are good, the all penalty by Google and lost traffic. Some banklink 0 traffic just have 10-20 DA. Why they build 0 traffic link?I don't understand. And why their website still has good traffic performance.And don't have social media effect.Why they can do that traffic stable rise up just only build 0 traffic backlnks or Old backlinks that have lost traffic？

Their website does well not just because of links, but possibly because of good content and user experience, even if some of their links aren't very popular

Yes they have good content its helpful.But why bulid 0 traffic backlink?I think its not useful and maybe get panalty by Google.Also some backlink already get panalty but they still build it.I can't understand

Making links with no traffic or that got in trouble with Google isn't a great idea. But if their site is good and people like it, that's probably why it's doing well
 
Link diversity still plays a role in SEO, referring to the various sources linking back to your website.

The greater the diversity of these links sources, the higher the credibility and authority perceived by search engines such as Google.

Someone will say how this used to work in the past but the fact is, it still works today (not spam).

As for the traffic, 12k backlinks mean nothing, it's just solid content, this is probably (I didn't check) expired domain BL.

But as I check their links all just related to the blog content guest blog.Not from images or video or organic social etc.I think its not link diversity. They build many links about guest posts. I am concerned about why they do that. Traffic value is also a metric can be valued too. My traffic means not backlinks quantity,I mean the visitor quantity of the website.I think if a website doesn't have enough stable visitor traffic then it is not worth to build backlink. But some backlink sellers still sell these websites that don't have traffic value. And many websites still order it, I can't understand it.
 
What are the keywords / KD the website is ranking for?

They might have hidden but high quality backlinks - Yes?

They haven't blocked the crawlers, If this website blocks the crawler, it's impossible to see so many guest posts.Don't have way block only 1 or 2 blacklink, If block basically all backlinks can't be see.

Even low KD I think they don't have so many Keyword search volume rises up in this period. Also what I want to ask is why they do that.It's not related to KD
 
I never paid attention to traffic of backlinking sites.
Got much better success with backlinks without traffic, than expensive links on homepages of sites with 10M monthly traffic.
To pass link juice you need to check referring domain backlink profile quality, not traffic.

It may be due to a Google update. Of course, no one is going to buy links with O traffic. They may have lost traffic after the purchase.
 
Most links that sites pick up will be receiving 0 traffic. When was the last time you clicked on a link on a PBN? Linked mentions in content are the backbone of off-page optimisation. Traffic to domain may well be a signal, but traffic per page isn't.

Well so they build these links just to keep GSC mentioning that they are running well?

Do you mean referring domain backlinks that have many high-authority websites to point is the better choice, even they are 0 traffic or already lost traffic?

I check them built 3 years already, really good performance through so many google updates

In my opinion it is better than low quality backlinks, but high traffic.
Totally lost traffic is a bad sign. Site can be penalized and do not pass link juice.
 
It might be due to content quality and how they diversified their traffic sources including ads. There are factors beyond link building which will boost your rankings

Well they don't have paid traffic as I checked, Also seems don't have many fans on their social media or referring images etc
 
links or websites doesn't have to have traffic in order to pass authority & link juice,
take pbns as an example, you can build a solid pbn that will rank you for the hardest keywords/niches without any of them having a single visitor,
ofc, a pbn/website with traffic will look more natural theoretically, but that's not the case for the current SEO at least, it's an algorithm after all
