Why skype is a good question. It's not a good messaging platform by any measure IMO.

I wouldn't have a business call/conversation on WhatsApp or telegram, but I would on Skype.

When I work with my team, I always use skype, you can show your screen, no technical issues... I don't know why I would change if skype offers everything for a virtual team meeting to be efficient.
