Why SEO is Worthless

And the final paragraph:

Nope no such pitch from his side, but his message was that SEO is not the only route for all the marketing problems out there.

SEO: = Long Term, more time investment = Long Term Results, if done correctly
Paid Adv = Short Term, more money investment = Short Term Results, However if done correctly, it can be a goldmine.
I don't agree. I think paid advertising has far more longevity. Organic is at high risk every day. We know this. Google and Facebook both want businesses to pay for exposure. Look how full the ads are now on Google - they just keep adding more. If I can bet on one thing, I bet Google will always take my money to put me at the top. That's long term.

Just because SEO efforts take longer to come to fruition, does not mean SEO is long term.

So I was going through my Linkedin newsfeed today and found out this post by a guy who basically wrote down why SEO is worthless

The below is what he wrote:

Now before all the SEO people attack me, hear me out. SEO has a place and can be a STEP in the right direction (Notice How I Said Step).

The truth is SEO's power is very limited. While getting your business to the top ranking on google pages can be beneficial, its fickle and there are some things you should know about it first.

Thoughts?
Build and grow targeted audience is more important than SEO.. email list, social media follower
SEO is second. You need to invest a lot to get to first page, invest in content, waiting for few months to get ranked by Google.

Now if organic seo was bad why would so many be trying to do it.
