Why renting an ad account is so expensive?

I want to run ads for some clients on Instagram, and most agencies charge a 5-10% fee. Are there any that charge less? It's not feasible to work with those fees.

Yes. Some options charge less than 5–10%:

  • Freelancers: about 2–5% or a flat monthly fee.
  • Small/new agencies: around 3–5% to attract clients.
  • White-label services: often under 5% for agencies.

➡The cheapest option is usually hiring a freelancer or paying a flat fee.

Fees like 5–10% are pretty standard because the agency is also taking risk on the ad account. If you want cheaper options, freelancers or smaller agencies sometimes charge around 2–5% or a flat monthly fee.

If the standard agency fees feel too high, you might want to consider working with a freelancer instead of a full agency. They often have more flexible pricing and may be open to a flat monthly rate rather than a percentage of ad spend.

If they are providing you a good quality service and consistent for you to set up campaign, I think the fee is the maintaining cost for you to have a stable supply to advertise.

It’s because of account stability. If you have a highest account stability, you’ll have less pauses in cash flow due to account blocks and such!

The rates are similar, however you would need to message other agencies and see what there rates are to make a comparison.

Yes, but the **5–10% fee you’re seeing is already considered cheap** in the industry. Most agencies actually charge **10–20% of ad spend**, and some even go up to **25% depending on budget and services**.

Here are the common options if you want **lower than 5–10%**:

**1. Freelancers instead of agencies**
Freelancers often charge **flat fees ($300–$1,000/month)** or lower percentages because they have fewer overhead costs.

**2. Flat monthly fee instead of percentage**
Some managers charge something like **$300–$800/month** regardless of ad spend. This becomes cheaper if your ad budget is large.

**3. Offshore agencies**
Agencies from regions like Eastern Europe, India, or Southeast Asia often charge **$25–$50/hour** or lower retainers compared to Western agencies.

**4. Performance-based deals**
Instead of % of ad spend, some partners charge **a % of revenue or leads generated**, which can sometimes be cheaper if campaigns perform well.

Reality check:
If an agency charges **below ~5%**, they usually:

* have very large ad-spend clients, or
* provide minimal optimization, or
* upsell other services (creative, landing pages, etc.).

✅ If you want, tell me:

* your **monthly ad spend per client**
* how many **clients you manage**

I can suggest the **cheapest structure agencies use to run ads for clients without losing profit**.

The 5-10% service fee is not simply a rental cost, but a guarantee that the agency shares the operational risks on your advertising account. Instead of seeking risky, low-cost options, investing in a highly reliable system is key to protecting your cash flow. With the absolute stability of priority accounts, your business will completely eliminate bottlenecks caused by sudden account closures, ensuring smooth campaign operation and optimized profitability.

There is lot of efforts and money involved in keeping these accounts alive. So that fees are justified. If you are running whitehat stuff, you can use personal accounts but for black hats, these accounts are anytime best bets

Freelancers and newer agencies cost less; however, they don't have a proven track record like bigger agencies, therefore you might not receive very good ads from their end, which limits your profitability.
