If you ran a site like that and wanted it to be enjoyable and worth a shit and not run off people with spam everywhere you would lock down to.
 
Problem is you won't only get banned for posting spam.
You would also get banned if you smell bad, have the wrong skin color, Don't brush your theeth, or what ever ells the admin of a sub group want's to bann you for.

If you are banned for a subgroup, you are banned from Reddit - and you don't you are. Coz your account keep on running - except no one knows it does and can see your stuff.

Point of this post: Don't use Reddit. It is already "owned" by a few blackhatters, who controls what to be showned and what not to. - Don't waste time on it.

Since I've first joined this forum, I'm pretty sure that web2.0 will seriously need to reinvent itself or it will be killed by spam and blackhat.
