Though I understand that content at tier1 web2.0 must be unique but why the readability factor as I dont want to rank them? Is to just make sure that these web2.0 dont get deleted by admins ?

Yes that can be a factor. BUT you need to NOT taking anyone's word for it. TEST IT YOURSELF. You will probably be quite surprised.

It doesn't need to be fully readable to a human to rank, but if someone reports your website for spam links and then an admin checks it and sees crap it's going to get deleted for sure.

There are a number of factors including the fact that proper kW research can put your Web 2.0 at the top of results and get real traffic to your site not just for SEO, the avoiding of manual reviews, the fact that natural is always better as Google is always improving why do something that may be useless in the future, etc.

I just did a detailed write up on how I do my authority web 2.0s (it's specifically for .EDU blog posts but applies to any Web 2.0 blog/article property) so if you have questions you can read it and not only see what I do but learn why I do these things:

Google is always updating so might as well be prepared and make sure your content isn't complete spam.

I spin my web 2.0 content manually with TBS. I personally spin at phrase, sentence, paragraph and then finally word level. Also throw in a couple blank sentences in my spins.

Don't think too hard into it, the point is to make it random and appear unique.

I don't know what 2.0s you use, but on tumblr I drop 2 pics, 1 text with 2 senteces and link. Works for me :)

I have tried both. And trust me, spunned web2.0s do go out the serp in the long run.

But web2.0s with unique content with videos and more than 3x400 words always climb the serp no matter how many links I build to it.
I will go for Unique content any day.

    1. Google is getting better at spotting crap.

    2. If it ranks you want people so read and click.

    3. If you want to build the power of that link, it needs to survive, so it has to pass a manual review.

Build for the long term and stop thinking you can fill the net with shit and rank forever.

    1. So it doenst get removed by moderators - imagine all thsoe tier2 links and above going to waste and you losing those ranks you gained
    2. So it doesnt get banned by google - read above for consequences
    3. So a future penalty doesnt wipe it out - read 2.
    4. So it ranks and gets you a bit more traffic
