I think Google sees PR as good as a blog but PR have more articles and updates daily that not many blogs can do. Google favor latest news and number of articles, if you can do that in your website or blog section of your site, you can be ranked as a PR

And also be aware with PR syndication services, where they put your content to many (up to 400) article at the same time. If you do, dont do to your home page.

Yeah, I actually contacted a bunch on Fiverr, and they said they can't post content on these niches, so it's probably someone with connections on the inside.
