Hello, today I met my webmaster and noticed some concerns. Despite having validated the issue, I am still seeing the same number of pages in my webmaster. Can anyone here help me find a solution to this problem?

Why are these issues showing in my webmaster?

When will they be resolved by Google?

What is the cause of these issues?

What is the cause of these issues?
the cause is explained right there: blocked by robots, 404, etc...

Just fix these errors first and then you can resubmit..

If you've already fixed them you can try resubmitting again as sometimes it takes more than 1 try. But again, most likely you've not fixed the errors, so get busy :)

Sorry to bother but...

I have 2k pages with "page redirect error" but they are all properly redirecting to the homepage.

I dont want them indexed either cause they are already redirecting the way i want.

I tried to "validate fix" just to see if google would recognize that there is nothing to be fixed really, because as i said its working as supposed to, but got the same "Failed" message.

Although i know that everything is working as intended it bothers me a lot to see that these pages are showing like its an error and i cant even fix it... whats your opinion on this? What should i do?

If anyone has experience with this i would appreciate your input. Thanks.

Here one thing that should be noted is that Google know that these pages are not supposed to be indexed and so it did not index these pages, it is just showing them in this report so that you can also know which pages Google has found but not indexed due to any particular reason as given by Google itself.

What is the purpose of this report and how to use it -
It is for you to identify if any important page is left from indexing due to such issue. You can see that if any important page that you want indexed is falling under the list of not indexed pages due to redirection or any other error, then fix the error and get that page indexed.
If you have observed a group of pages just not indexing and you don't want them indexed too then its fine. You don't need to validate the fixes.
You can start the validation of particular error if you have fixed the indexing issue related to that error for all or many of the pages falling under that. For example, if you have fixed your robots.txt and now 100 pages can be indexed and 91 pages you still want not indexed (out of total 191 not indexed as per given screenshot) then you can start validation so that majority of pages get indexed. If you fixed robots.txt for only 2-3 pages then you can manually request those pages indexing.

Its purpose is not that it show 0 errors if you clarify that it is according to what you want. So don't aim to see 0 errors in this report. Still if you want to fix the redirection issue (in the indexing report above), then you have to replace or remove all the old URL wherever hyperlinked in your website or mentioned in sitemaps. If Google don't find those URLs then it won't show them in Not indexed reports. It shows them in Not Indexed report when it find them linked but can't be indexed due to various reasons.

Thank you for ur answer.

In my case the redirected pages are old pages that dont even exist anymore (because its an expired domain). They are not present in the sitemap nor linked from anywhere inside the website.

As i understood i dont have to do anything, since there is nothing to be fixed then?

Thats the approach i usually take, but never understood for sure if it was considered an error or not.

Yes, you don't need to do anything if the not indexed pages are of no use. You just can keep an eye on this report to know if there appears any important page in such list and try to get that indexed.

Under 'Reason' colump, it is stated why each group of links under each row is not indexed. It's actually self explanatory.

Click them, and try fixing each issue on every page possible.

Be sure that your robots.txt does not exclude any important pages. Fixing all the detected redirect and canonical tag issues, and if necessary, removing 'noindex' tags. Re-crawling in the Search Console has to be requested after the changes.
