Why my video doesn't rank?

So I have a YT channel, with it's competition. There's another channel uploading some videos which have less engagement than mine. Less views, less likes, less comments, less shares, and his video ranks while mine doesn't. I just need 1 keyword.

Any solution to rank?

Strange.. Just a couple questions
Is he ranking for the same specific keywords you want to?
Do your videos have value? Cos if it's bs your bounce rate would be very high and it would sink your video in search results.
Then is the engagement on your video genuine and not bought?

The videos are quite similar, people like it the same way and comments are good always.
We are both trying to rank just 1 keyword, included in the title and on description the same way. He gets the ranking , I don't.
Engagement for both videos is legit, not purchased.

I would suggest adding back links on some forums and boards and relate to the niche. Even if it doesn't rank, it could help with more engagement and lead ins. Maybe adjusting your description a little or the tags. My advice.

I thought that at first, so I added it to a Private Blog Network and did it work with some keywords I am not interested in ranking at all, because they don't give as much traffic as I need, even though competition is the same or even more!
Forgot to mention that I have some videos already ranked on second page of this keyword, not too sure how YT algorithm chooses the ranking index so I'm totally confused.
 
ratings help a lot. even negative votes are still good for ranking to an extent. over time the video should be up there tho. The more views and comments the better the rank
 
The point is, you upload the video and did not do any SEO to that video and it ranks at that time before your competition upload his, that means he copy your niche and saw that your video don't have any solid metrics yet and it's new. He created same video in your niche, optimize the description, tags and blast backlinks for that keyword.
 
Same here. My videos doesn't rank anymore like it used to be. Tried legit traffic and bought views, still can't rank.

This is weird.
 
Guess he got some backlinks and social signals then..
 
I have channels with 40k+ subscribers and 70k+. Both channels can't rank anymore to a specific niche/keywords while my competitors with a dummy channels can beat my videos with less likes, shares, comments, and views.

The legit views I did came from playlist, annotations, cards, featured content, & channel trailers. Basically I have multiple channels on YouTube, I can divert all the traffic to one specific video which can gain up to 20k views per day.

Even with this view method my videos can't rank. I can't even see my videos on fourth or fifth page of YouTube. All my videos aren't spam and they are all unique created by me.

Really weird. Something is up.

Exactly what is happening to me, I simply don't know what's up with YouTube but they have fucked their ranking scheme.
 
It's impossible to rank after YouTube updates. I have tried SEO and buying views and all other good stuff but still nothing really. Weird...

Well, the problem is that my views, comments, likes, everything basically is legit... No way to rank.
