This might not be a popular opinion in this thread, but I would advice you to stop playing video games. They are designed in a way to trigger huge dopamine releases in your brain. Dopamine is the neurotransmitter that gives you the feeling of reward. Video games give you such a supranatural stimulus, that your brain gets rewired to constantly seek out that same level of reward. Since progressing in life and achieving your goals is also dependent on your brain rewarding you with dopamine releases, playing video games will desensitize you to these real life rewards.
A lot of people know already that playing slot machines triggers dopamine and gets you hooked almost immediately, because the machines are designed in that way: group of engineers and psychologists have sat around the table looking for ways to maximize that feeling, to get people to pull the lever until they lose their life to it. I hope that people realize that the same process is used to get you hooked on video games. Pulling away from it will free your mind and make it peanuts to go after your dreams and life goals.
Other stuff you should cut out of your life to "reset" your dopamine levels is social media (or any other kind of endless scrolling content) and watching porn. Try quitting these things and you'll notice how hooked they got you in the first place!
Just my two cents, please don't feel offended!
Sounds like you've never played "Star Wars - Republic Commando" or "Full Spectrum Warrior".
