Why my backlinks are not indexing ?

Yeah, usually the backlink isnt the problem, the source page just isnt getting crawled. Check 10-20 pages with site: first, and if most are missing, dump that source instead of throwing more indexer spam at it lol.

May be the the linking page itself is not indexed by google. for this you can build backlinks on high quality and add internal linking.

Google’s latest May core update completely choked out low-quality web 2.0s, so the only real way to force indexation right now is to stop using cheap automated blasters and instead inject your target links into active, high-traffic guest posts or run them through heavy Tier-2 social signals to trigger a natural Googlebot crawl

I've seen this happen quite often.

Sometimes it's just a matter of giving it more time, especially if the linking page doesn't get crawled very frequently.

Create backlinks in forums. Google tend to ignore backlinks if they are not in easily discoverable places.

or use an indexer.

creating a temporary burner Blogger or WordPress site, pasting your backlink URLs there, and submitting that specific sitemap directly through Google Search Console
That forces one crawl. Googlebot comes, sees the link, leaves -> and if the page it sits on is dead, it never comes back. You bought a single visit, not indexing.

The bar genuinely moved this year too. Across the March and May core updates indexing quietly became something you earn, not a default, and Google won't put a number on it -> Mueller keeps waving off the deindexing reports as "ordinary." Translation: the thin stuff that used to scrape in doesn't anymore.

So everyone in here is right that the source has to get crawled, but the half nobody's saying is that it has to keep getting crawled. A link on the homepage of a real site with actual organic traffic gets re-crawled on its own, because Google has a reason to keep coming back. One buried on page 9 of a profile or a dead web 2.0 gets a single look and then sits in the dark, no tier 2 or indexer trick changes that. @Campaigns By Mike's cache-date check is the fast way to find the dead ones before you waste more links on them.

With the release of the core update on May 2026, the entire practic of legacy link pinging and passive crawls is effectively dead, due to the restriction that only high-authority pages be indexed for search purposes. The best soltion for forcing your website to be indexed is to bypass common practices and use premium indexing vi APIs from your mobile or cloud device
