    Hi there, this is a noob question that I hope you can explain to me. I read here that some people have high converting traffic and for some reason thats no good and want to mix it in with junk traffic. Can someone explain to me why this is?

    To reduce the conversion rate, so it will sound legitimate. Means you stay safe from ban hammer.

    You are right higher the conversion the better BUT you are not thinking from a blackhatters point of view:

    The earner is using blackhat tactics which is not exactly always agreeable with their TOS rules to get those conversions and often that means that conversion % is far too high for someone who is promoting or earning the normal whitehat way = these stats stand out like crazy and draw unwanted attention from the company paying you out the commission income.

    That risks them being spotted so the people doing bh water them down with junk traffic to what they assume would be a more typical conversion rate for that type of affiliate offer if they were using wh to look legit and get paid! :)

    thank you, but couldn't it be explained that the conversions were from highly targetted traffic such as facebook or myspace or something of that nature?

    @Amsal
    There are good people with good services in Buy/sell section, read their reviews, or use trafficholder.com

    As long as the network is cool with that type of traffic. Most wont be. It's a very good idea to discuss these things with your AM before you start doing it to get a feel for what you can get away with.
