Hello to everyone in the BHW community!!


I am a college student, and a newbie web developer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Laravel, and a little of WordPress), I am finding it hard to get my first web gig. I believe the community can help me with the connections, and I will handle the rest.

I need help to land my first gig as a web guy. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to prove your skills before someone pays you for a job, create a magnificent portfolio to pitch the clients so they could see how professional you are. if you don't have portfolio try to build some with your own hosting and domain. Pitching your Area business owners with a website for uplifting their business sales could work create a UI from canva first or if you have spare time create an original one to show them the unique functionality.

Well starting in the freelance sector its always hard as people buy from people with good reputation and good reviews and they dont trust new people
Try to work cheaper and please people to give you positive reviews or make some free projects and again ask for positive reviews until you build your reputation
