Why isn't search console displaying some links that show up in the Original BL Page source code?

After you buy an expired domain, which it is still indexed in google with over 300 URLs.

You check the backlink profile in Ahrefs and start checking which links show up in search console.

There are some which do not show up (Most of them do), in this case a link from good housekeeping.

I go to the page where the backlink is coming from, check the source code and the link is still there.

Why isn't it showing up?


Have tried running the relevant links through onehourindexing and some have appeared

But I really want this DR90 link to show up aswell

no SEO tool (not even GSC) shows all of your links. If the link is there (which you say it is), and if it's indexed in google that's all that matters for you, so don't stress about it

So even ahrefs historical links if the link is in the source and url is indexed it counts?

Also, how long would you wait to redirect recovered urls from expired domain to the homepage?

I'm not the right person to answer this because I've not used Ahrefs too much, so I have no idea what historical links are. Sorry!

I think the norm is few months (2-3), but I'm not sure. There's a guy on the forum, named @Nargil and he'll answer your question better than me as he lives and breathes expired domains, his entire business revolves around this. Just check his replies and you'll learn more than you need
