I know SERP is based solely on backlinks; I'm wondering why I can't move up in the ranks though. My competition isn't too stiff actually; they don't even know what SEO honestly. I've seen their backlinks; spammed AA blogs with PR0 mostly. They are 2 EMD sites with less than 10 less a piece (Links with PR0 on spa) and the other sites are like wikianswers/answers. My site isn't updated anymore but it is 'on-page seo optimized' to the best of my ability (Content, images, tags, etc). I do NOT have an EMD since everything is taken (Except for the lesser known ones like .us/.info) and I have over 400 backlinks (Inlcuding a few .edus and SEVERAL sites that have PR 1+ (Over 50 I think)). My question is, why can't I pass these people up? It's been around a month already and I'm stuck on the bottom of page 1/ top of page 2 which doesn't get me anything Something I'm missing? I would estimate around 80% of my links are no follow 20% follow and 5% are 'relevant' to my website.
