Huh, I wonder if it's just easier to do keyword research, make a simple website with proper ad placement, and make everyone else do the f_cking clicks?

You'd be surprised how good their system is. You could use thousands of proxies and you'd still get caught if it notices too many of the same ip's.

If you were going to do this you would have to do like one click per ip. and that's a lot of work if you ask me. not including the fact that it's hard as hell to find working proxies and all of them would have to be completely anonymous

Click spamming has been done to death. There are bots that rotate IP addresses and either do it to add to adsense earnings or to drain a competitors adwords account funds
Google are pretty hot on this, and would rather blame innocents than let real claick spammers go.
