Why is Youtube is so Difficult

As a youtuber i can say that You have to really work hard and have that charisma to get to that level

You could ride a trend like the "give homeless people food/money/etc." those videos seem to go viral easily and you also do something good. Its a win win.

Videos with keywords like "shocking!" "banned" "outrageous" "creepy" "disturbing" seem to attract lots of viewers, even if the video is not banned at all

See for example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqi5F5MqqTQ

Title: "very creepy, disturbing children's cartoon, banned from TV"
View count: 13,757,540

IIRC it wasn't censored at all, it's from an animated film called "The Adventures of Mark Twain".

Edit: Only the scene above was removed from some broadcasts.

Thank you all for your suggestions and recommendations it made me rethink I'm a Newbie and you guys are Pro's and teaching me so Its all a learning experience for me thank you

I run a pretty successful youtube channel and I've had multiple viral videos in the last year (lowest being 300k views, highest 2m). The channel is just over a year old and I have 13,000 subscribers and 3 million views across the channel (about 25 videos total). My videos on other channels (collaborations) have near or over 10 million views!

I am at the point where one more viral video, as long as it goes viral on youtube and not on a 3rd party site via embedded player (which is what happened the last 2 times with my videos) can really launch the channel to a more serious level (60k+ subscribers).

My most recent video has what it takes to go viral IMO. I just can't seem to get it exposure. It's pretty different from my normal content so my existing subscribers aren't really embracing it and sharing it.

Are there any view services or reddit services that I could use to actually get this video noticed? I haven't tried any YT view services yet as I've read a lot lately about them not working well anymore, and the reddit service I tried got me auto downvoted for every upvote that was given. Any advice you guys have for getting a video noticed would be greatly appreciated!

Yes is very difficult especially last update .. i got my account from 2006 , got 1000 videos , 1 subscribers .. last month i got partnership and didn't make any money, the views don't come
what else could be wrong ?
i think this youtube is very difficult unless you are very lucky or have excellent skill then just forget it

The main reason is time.

When youtube started there were no pewdiepie and vitaly but now thousands of channels are just like them. You need to be a trendsetter to become successful. They started the channel at the time where no other YouTubers has done that before. It's just like a business I am a web designer but I can't create a website that competes with amazon.com. Even if I have millions of dollars in my bank account. So to become a next pewdiepie you need to set a trend which makes other YouTubers learn from you. All of them are videos but finding a best way to presenting it to your audience is the key to success

This is so true. Also you have to keep in mind that Youtube is one of the main sources that many upcoming artists use to promote their music. Since selling cds and streaming isn't going to pay as it did in the 90's and early 00's, most of those rappers that you see becoming popular on soundcloud and then Youtube make their money from shows. However, to schedule shows they need to first be famous on Youtube, which means there are a tons of folks trying to game the Youtube views and ranking system to appear famous.

Youtube has become extremely essential for many creative artists, is a must if you want to make a living out of your career.
