I am doing some research into launching a website in the legal niche, focused around interviews and current event legal questions. In my research I've found loads of websites producing lawyer lists and content, but one really confuses me. It seems to have 100k+ monthly readers coming mostly from Linkedin, but doesn't seem to rank for anything. Has it been penalised?

You can do an SEO audit by any SEO expert. And also can get backlinks to increase PA DA score.
your reply is pure garbage, did you even read what the guy asked??

@sudoapt ... the site looks good from a SEO standpoint (good backlinks and anchors, good on-page SEO, etc). The only reason I can think of is that it's sandboxed, and it should start ranking in 2-3 months. If it doesn't... I don't know then, maybe google doesn't like something about it. And it's also a news site, I've heard someone say that google is pretty restrictive with news sites nowadays, so this might be a reason too.

But yeah, the site looks good and should rank easily....

Seems like the site needs time. The metrics look perfectly fine. Check back in a few months and if its maintained, should be doing much better.

Extremely sorry I didn’t noticed the picture and post properly and I am apologizing for this wrong comment

It’s really hard to tell if it is penalized
I would suggest you give some high quality pbn or guest post to your website
If it is still not rank then giveup

Thanks a lot for understanding....when I saw the pic I was laughing on me.... What I said lol
it's not me who should understand, it's the mods... But you won't get banned for one stupid reply, don't worry! If that was the case I would have been banned long ago because I've made dozens of them :p

But in general it's better to make useful comments :)

Most compelling case for the sandbox I've seen. Domain has never been used for anything else as far as I can tell.

Backlink profile seems to mostly be lawyers they worked with. Maybe Google thinks that's some kind of link scheme because it's almost all A->B B->A?

Yeah, seems to be the consensus that it is sandboxed. It regularly gets new contents at a great volume and social traffic is off the charts. We will see what happens in 2-3 months ay.

Hi, before remove the spam links and then try to Real Niche blogs with HQ Content also.

Hi!!
Seems Your site is extremely slow.
Check this:

Yeah, looks like an issue also.

This looks like standard practice for me. This is a very competitive niche to get into so looks like it's in the sandbox stage. How soon they should start to see results would depend on where the links are pointing, the internal linking structure and how often they post content.

Once, I worked on a site that had mad social traffic but nada from search. Turned out they had loads of copied content. Just sharing some food for thought. Dive deep into its on-page & off-page game.

The Linkedin traffic is probably just bot traffic masked like its coming from Linkedin, thus the penalty
Anybody who has ever written an article, and got real traffic from social media knows that the article will rank in a matter of hours

The website owner did try to increase the dr, but ended up just fooling ahrefs instead of google.

This website is your avg flippa scam site for sale, massive "traffic" with high dr, yet somehow the "owner" didn't monetize it

It doesn't look like bot traffic: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7112150629229162496/ rather listicle traffic.

The backlinks also do not look bought, mostly coming from lawfirms featured in listicles.

I can tell from a mile away that this is your average guest post seller fake PBN site. Just take a look at the article titles on the front page. All different topics not related to each other.
  • Agriculture - Coco production
  • Business & Economics - Interest Rates
  • Home & Cooking - Kitchen Safety
  • Medical & Healthcare - Cancer Treatment
And the list goes on. Each article contains one obvious paid link to an external site.

Now, the content quality, I don't know for sure but looking at the article titles seems to me those are ChatGPT generated.

Almost all of them have titles with Colon (punctuation) mark. An obvious sign of GPT generated titles.

All articles are templated. Like "Key Takeaways" at the beginning, then some headings. Looks fake to me.

In one of the articles there is H2, H3 in plain text ! :D

There are many other things but pardon me, this site will NEVER rank in its current state.
