Why is this person number 1?

I was messing around with market samurai and checking some keywords and found this guy ranking
number one. He does have an EMD but that is good enough to get that spot?

I actually have had an EMD get the number 1 spot almost right away without doing much backlinking
yet and I just figured I got lucky.

Why do some EMD's reach number 1 right away and others (with very similar competition if not even easier) take
much longer to rank that high?

I know there are many factors to take in but just wondering what some others peoples experience is with EMDs
and hitting number 1 right away.

That shows you home much power an EMD has over regular domains. Then again, the competitors are crappy.
 
7 out of the top 10 don't have any backlinks to the specific page, there isn't any competition at all..

That's true. The keyword also gets 8,100 exact global per month. Must be nice to throw up a site and just start getting traffic.
 
I guess I'm a little slow today and didn't even realize it's actually not the EMD the number one guy has, it's off by
one word at the end. As you can tell by the URL column that says "N". Don't know how I missed that....

I just checked and the real EMD is available. I'm gonna pick it up and add it to my projects.
 
That keywords has no competition. With just good onpage SEO and good content you can get #1.

I own few EMD domains and haven't really noticed a difference between it and other domains that aren't EMD. I think as long as it has the keyword in the domain, it's pretty much the same.
 
Never had the chance to start an EMD based website, i got many in my keyword researches but i just go with competitive keywords that have no EMD available.

I think it depends on how much competition that keyword has.
 
Age of the domain maybe?I have had several EMD rank over sites with a large volume of links buy not to the same level of the sites you posted.
 
Well he has a better domain and the EMD is also quite good resulting in a very good response.I am also planning to take some positive initiatives.
