Ok so I used this site as a backlink checker -

It comes up that he only has 2 backlinks!?

For me it shows at #6. My guess is it is all based on the on page factors and they are doing a pretty good job at it. It will give the site a nice boost but if there are no links to back up the page it will fade away so you most probably caught it at its peak moments. Give it some time and the serps will change for sure for that phrase.

Its a multi page site built specifically around targeting that exact result.

It's on its honeymoon period.

Give it a few weeks and it will be nowhere, but by that time whoever owns it will have made it pay $$$ for them.

it's not quantity it's quality. Take a look at the seoMOZ course that's in the downloads section. It explains everything there is to know about seo. Sorry i don't have the link for it.

For these types of sites you just need to be on page 1 quickly for a short amount of time for a low competition keyword.

And about the videos, where do you put the link?

pr4 main backlink targetted traffic very low OBL with high targetted keyword IBL
other backlink has 9million backlinks for the domain pr5

full keyword in domain

perfect onpage seo or as good as.

interesting usage of no meta tags at all displayed guess he has no interest in targetting the other search engines, personally id of atleast wrote the main 3 keywords there no point not putting any IMHO

very low competition shown by anybody else when he was number 1

Oh and the honeymoon period

Now hes got 100 backlinks and sitting 6th for me.

Thats the way i usto do it and got good results as well. give that a try and see if you don't get what you are looking for .
