This fitness Youtuber I watch is now getting his channel terminated for "sexual content". He basically makes workout tips, usually without a shirt on. Will it now suddenly be against their rules for a guy to be topless? Or am i missing something here? Seems like some gigantic bs.

The normal reason for this is a false report from an enemy or competitor just as @ristoriel says. He will do an appeal and likely be unbanned if he is a legit channel.

YouTube recently added some more terms for channels to follow. He might have fallen in that list.

Well if you receive many reports by competitor the youtube will delete your channel
They dont care to much how efforts you put ,money spent and time etc
Some people have special bots made for reporting and they can give you multiple reports
