Why is there so much fake traffic on push ads?

I have been using solo ads as my main traffic source and usually I get around 30-40% email optin rate.

I decided to try out push ads and despite getting over 2k click I have only received 8 emails - I’m using both RichAds and Adsterra.

Why is that? I’m just confused?????

Any help would be appreciated

Do not use a font size any larger than 13
when you switch traffic sources, it's like trying out new fishing spots. Sometimes you catch more fish, sometimes fewer. With push ads, you might need to tweak your ads and targeting to get better results. Try to narrow down your traffic flow by optimizing it. Connect to a tracker and watch which sources convert better, which websites, IPs, GEOs, creatives etc. These networks offer high traffic volumes but you need to learn how to extract the most suitable traffic for you. And yes, do not forget about the bids - it is always a competition on the RTB auction, so you need to set up a higher bid to win better audiences.
 
The thing is I have tested out multiple countries and I do use a tracker to see which placement works better but the results stays the same.

And also I am only optimising for email leads not sales even.

I have hotjar installed on my site and I record the traffic and I noticed I don’t get a click anywhere on the site at all which is just weird
 
By their nature, push ads are "low quality" and somewhat spammy. 1k clicks from push ads won't convert as much as 1k clicks from Facebook or Google for example.
Add to that the fact that there is a lot of weird, bot-like, inexplicable traffic.
To give you an example, 50% of my push ads campaigns fail right from the start. I use self-hosted landing pages and I use events like the time spent events on the landing page and the scroll events. Here is an example for TrafficStars & Kadam

In the first example, my tracker says that 78,7% of the users spent more than 60 seconds on my landing pages, but only 2,4% of them scrolled the page which is IMPOSSIBLE for a normal user behaviour.
As I told you before, I get this in 50% of my new push campaigns.
Bear in mind that I don't get this in higher quality ad formats, like mainstream native, facebook, ect..
Frankly, I don't know how these ad networks are sustaining the push format in their inventory ...

I also don't know how these ad networks are able to stay profitable with push ads.

Have you had success with native ads? and which platform would you recommend?

You're comparing Jupiter to Uranus. Obviously, Facebook traffic will be of high quality, but the price reflects that quality as well. Push ads are cheap, but if you do your homework, it’s one of the best ways to make money. You say they don’t scroll on your site; obviously, it’s a bot. Cut that ID and you're good to go, and keep doing that until you get what you came for: conversions.

Now, you also need to know where to buy your traffic because, as I understand, Traffic Star is only good for native ads; their push traffic is worthless. So, take advantage of the forum, read the forum, and find good sources of push traffic with minimal bot traffic. Along the way, learn to make the most out of the price of this type of traffic by optimizing your campaigns to the maximum. I hope you understand what I'm saying and apply it in your next adventure.
 
Always use a tracking software to analyze all the clicks that you get from push traffic or even solo adverts.

And how a poor results could lead to a conclusion that it is "fake traffic" - if user is not interacting with your website (leadgen or w/e you're aiming them for) there could be dozens of reasons
a) you're buying on non-competitive rates (having 10th notification per user a day)
b) you're not the only one running the same offer
c) you're buying from irrelevant sources (zones), which needs to be excluded (like @feliz miguel mentioned above)
d) your creative is not reflecting further user's journey
 
I've experienced similar results with rich ads. I had Clarity installed on my landing page, but there was absolutely no activity. I'm pretty sure I spent $150 and saw zero engagement on the page, whether it was from push notifications or pop-ups—just bot traffic.

Adsterra is just a scam
