Why is nobody posting about Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is a good source for SEO with lots of traffic but, the problem is getting a page on Wikipedia. It's almost like getting a blue tick on Twitter. From Getting posts that doesn't look promotional published on top sites for citation to being a little bit famous. Is they a different means of getting a page on Wikipedia for an artiste ?

Do you have any prior experience with Wikipedia? I imagine a lot of people would tell you it's not even worth the trouble.

I have also done wiki links, but they delete the link more often if you are in a competitive page.
