Why is my website dropping from 1st place?

All through for 4 months it was at 1st spot, and then suddenly started dropping and now is on 4th-5th spot.

Possible reasons:-
1. Used one of the PBNs to link to my other site. (Removed those links today)
2. Havent updated it in a long time.
3. New update caused keyword density to shuffle.

Apart from the main money pages, other keywords of supporting articles dropped massively all the way to 3rd 4th page.

Any suggestions?

2.check your competitors backlinks
3.build or buy link posts
 
it's might be happening due to your competitors are working on SEO as well.
 
Same thing happened to me in december. You're not gonna get back. Most I've managed to climb up again was 1 spot. Went from #1 to #4 in a single night and never regained #1 back. Only at #3 now after throwing a few more PBNs and other links at all, tweaked the density as well, tested for weeks, nothing changed regarding density.


No idea what else was wrong, I also added more content, and it still didn't budge from #3 atm.

Ok that is scary. I did add a new link and nothing happened. Made changes to density and fetched as google it has only risen 1 spot. There definitely must be some reason.

Could it be because of december update?
 
You were at the number one spot for a long time. So there won't be any problem with your on page work.

Have you checked your backlink profile? Are there any backlinks got deindexed recently?

Update content frequently & build more high authority links. you will get the result.
 
Out of curiosity, did you built your site around an expired domain or a brand new one?

mine was expired and I faced the same situation as OP without ever returning, but in December the site had already been registered for 9 months

A couple of days ago I noticed all the links I had from an expired domain (before I picked it up) disappeared on GWT and my rankings dropped.
 
It can be a lot of things, also check your backlinks incase someone is doing negative seo on you :(
 
You do realize there's this thing called competition and they might be doing better SEO than you?

I'm trying to report this account: CyncUnany - he said he will sell the Amazon Account and I have paid, he never come back and that's kind of stolen should be banned from BHW.
Hope our admin will do something because I have read 514641's comment about the same issue.

I'd work on #2 FIRST...

We all sometimes forget.. Google is.. a SEARCH ENGINE..

Which means it's entire JOB is to bring fresh & innovative content to readers..

If your site smells like stale air, you won't get put out in front with the roses..
