Hey guys. I hope someone can enlighten me. I have been running a blog for 3 months now.
I post 8 to 10 articles on it daily. But still get very little traffic. I'm talking about 5 visits an hour.

You can check it out here: noticiasdecelebridadesdotwordpressdotcom (sorry can't post urls)
I'd appreciate any help.

I almost forgot to mention I am a writer for Impremedia. I write articles for the site in spanish and thought it would be a good idea to start a blog where I could post the first couple of paragraphs of each article with a link back to the original text. Thinking it would drive more traffic to them. But it doesn't seem to be working and I am starting to think it's just a huge waste of my time. :(

Hope someone can help me out or give me a few pointers. Thanks!

Your website is very much like.. a long line of shops down a road.

You need to advertise to know that your website is there, be it through paid adverts or through social media. A lot of my sites I advertise through social media because its free - get your friends talking about your site - they will then spread the word like wild fire.

Also look at the services in the "Services for Sale" tab to get some of your keywords ranking high (when people search for your keywords they will find your sites)

Also it takes time for Google to index your sites so people may not even know its there

Hope it helps (there are plenty of experts on this forum so I am 100% sure someone will give a better response :P )

Did you check for keywords to use that would attract a portion of that search engine traffic? Or research the niche to see how much demand existed for the topic? Or use some non-SEO methods to get traffic there? Just having some spare content around to use is not the key, the other elements have to exist as well.

8-10 articles a day is a lot to post to a blog congratz on that. But correct me if im wrong there not unique are they because there already posted on the Impremedia website?

Also i dont mean this in a bad way but i really cant understand what your URL is?

How are you currently getting your traffic as it is? Are you ranked for any keywords?

If you really just want to increase the traffic for Impremedia then i would just work on that website.

mmmm, that auto-play thing i hate. couldnt find it to turn it off. it's a tough niche, but the site looks good. it looks like your not manipulating your social signals either. social signals are harder in spanish. did you write the content?

I see issues with the domain, it's too long.

And you won't receive any traffic without advertising your site.

That's like a man setting up a restaurant in the middle of the desert, and wondering why no one eats there.

Yeah you're right... I'll see if I can change it to something a lot smaller... since it's a free blog you don't have much options...
What kind of advertising do you recommend? Thanks!

I'd recommend making a blog that is not hosted on a free server; first.

Second, I'd recommend doing seo for your site via contextual / article / high pr link services targeting relevant keywords in your niche market that receive a good amount of exact local monthly traffic (Google Keyword Tool; Google it).

Thanks! Yeah you're right... I post the articles on the Impremedia site first... I just thought I could get more traffic by posting snippets of the articles on the blog with a link back to the original content....I'm gonna try to change the url to something smaller and catchier... but since it's a free blog I don't know if I will be able to. The traffic I get comes mostly from google but through the Impremedia site...Any tips on how to get more traffic to my articles? Thanks!

Hi! No I didn't check for keywords because when I created the blog it never gave me that option. I guess because it a free wordpress blog... What non-SEO methods would you recommend to get traffic? Thanks!

If you content is good why you not getting traffic? Theme doesn't matter a lot, content is the main element to pull the traffic. Double check few things:

1. Keywords are used in a flow
2. Content is 100% original
3. Informative and original content

I am not doubting your writing skills not at all, just want to make that you follow all the measures to get the traffic.

Tried to look at the site but the browser stalled for a good 30 seconds until i closed it.

Try to update the blog with trending news on your niche it will help you to drive traffic from Google

I suggest that you read and apply the SEO techniques. Search for the keywords and integrate it on the body of your post.
