Why is it that nobody is using co.cc domain name?

Because it's free, it's a Valhalla for spammers and scammers.
People abuse it, thats why google puts a low value on those domains.
And if your trying to rank, you don't want a domain that sets you back behind the other from the get go.

The co.cc's aren't realy top level domains, don't stay free and have a spammy rep, so are of little value. So .infos are a better and more affordable solution. I would tell folks who think they 'own' a domain, however, that you don't, you're just renting a name and address.
As soon as you don't renew you shiny .com, .net or whatever (that is, pay rent to the registrar), poof you don't 'own' it anymore. Or if you have the 'wrong' kind of content and the site was registered through GoDaddy or similar places, they can shut down what you though you 'owned.'

You get what you pay for. I've also heard that free domain / hosting sites will hijack your site without warning if they discover that it's getting significant traffic. Call it 'eminent domain' I suppose. Of course for some things they're fine, quick wp blogs and such, but nobody with half a brain is going to take "GETFREEIPHONESHERENOWFORYOU.co.cc" seriously.
