Why is GWT showing zero pages indexed still?

I put up new site on last Friday and submitted the sitemap to my Webmaster Tool account. After 24 hours I did a "site:url" in Google and it listed all pages to be indexed. Now when I go to my WT dashboard and look at the Sitemap section for this domain it shows "5 Submitted" , but "Indexed URLs" is still showing up as "0".

Also I know I went after a very noncompetitive term and when I searched for my main keyword that I have optimized this site for I am not listed at all (I check all the way to page 20). The worst I would have thought I'd be at page 3, but the site is not even ranking at all (even though the "site" operator showed all my pages indexed, but WT showing none of them being indexed yet).

So is my site not ranking at all due to the fact that WT still does not show any url indexed yet? I have never had a site not show up when the first 20 pages so this is not normal for me. Was I hit with a penalty of some sort right off the bat? I don't believe I need any anything different than my other sites so I don't know that it can be.

Anyone have any ideas of what is going on?
