Why is G00gle in bed with wordpress?

According to Matt Cutts, wordpress got 80% of the on-page SEO covered right out of the box.
If you change the permalink structure, add xml sitemap and SEO title tags and decent SEO friendly theme then your site is almost perfectly optimized with on-page seo.

Plus the built-in pinging feature helps it to get crawled faster.

pretty much sizes it all up right here.
Out of the Box its done right. Add a couple extra SEO features and its 100% optimized.

Google doesnt "love" any platform, just loves optimized code.

Wordpress and Squidoo for that matter are choicy Spiderfood because of their perceived Social Value not merely commercial value. Social value Over commercial value is there way of thinking.

What people need and "actually are interested in"
as opposed to what SEO convinces them they need and want.

Joomla also has that quality more and more.
