Why Is Everyone Saying “Facebook Traffic Is Dead”?

Lately, I keep seeing people say Facebook traffic doesn’t work anymore — but I’m not sure if that’s really true.

I’ve been testing CC Submit and SOI offers on Facebook, and while the reach is fine, the ROI is horrible.
Some people told me Facebook AI now kills conversion-based ads for affiliate links.

So I’m curious:
Is Facebook really dead for affiliates?
Or are people just running the wrong angles/campaigns?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s still making it work in 2025!

Facebook isn’t dead — it’s just more expensive. You need cleaner setups and better warm-up pages now

It still works, but feels like since update fb spends on air without real traffic in return, be strict with expensive metrics or it will make you pay those prices by default

Yeah, FB still works — just tougher now. You need strong angles, warm accounts, and solid creatives to stay profitable.
 
I started working with Facebook in 2019, when everyone was saying that Facebook was dead. A year later, a major update was released, and everyone was shouting again that it was dead. Then there was an incident when the main office was inaccessible, and Facebook didn't work properly for a couple of days - everyone was shouting that it was the end. It will soon 2026, and every month or two I hear that Facebook is dying/already dead. Many will say that it is becoming more difficult but in reality, something that works today may not work tomorrow. It is definitely more expensive because now the audience becomes dead because of the farm departments
 
Recently I saw a case exactly telling that CC Sumbit Sweepstakes works perfectly. I'm not sure that I can post the link here, but it was on Partnerkin posted by ArtemyAff. Check it, some interesting insights are there.
 
It's getting more and more expensive while the users with their CC in their hands are migrating to other platforms like IG. Fb is failing to attract youngsters, so the platform itself is saturated. It's not yet dead but may become outdated and unprofitable soon.
 
It's true Facebook still works, but direct affiliate links trigger quality filters fast; using compliant pre-landers and focusing on cleaner angles or whitelisted verticals keeps conversion rates stable.
 
No traffic is “dead” as long as real people are involved. What you may be experiencing is product-market saturation. When users keep seeing too many similar products, their interest naturally starts to decline.

So as an advertiser, it’s your job to figure out what’s going wrong. Maybe users no longer want the product or service you’re promoting, or maybe too many people are selling the same thing and you’ve already exhausted the audience that’s interested.

It’s never really about the traffic, it’s about the product.
 
One interesting theory that Reuters recently confirmed in their investigation: 'If the advertiser is a likely scammer, Meta charges higher ad rates as a penalty, according to the documents.' So, since 2024, Facebook has been pushing down ROI for BH-related businesses because you pay a 'premium' for their ads.

Damn that is wild. funny thing is BH businesses are still 10x cheaper than normal businesses so they still profit massively lol.
 
Facebook isn’t dead for affiliates it’s just more expensive and you need cleaner funnels now.

I think the problem lies with the ad itself, not the advertising platform. Why, then, do some affiliate marketers do well while others struggle? If Facebook Ads were on its way out, everyone would be struggling.
 
Because work is getting harder and harder. And at the same time, ROI is declining. Work is harder, you earn less (if you earn anything at all), and you spend more time and energy.
 
Not dead, just harder now.
Facebook still works, but direct affiliate links and simple funnels don’t anymore. You need a prelander, better angles and stronger creatives.
Most people losing money are just running it the old way. And in 2026 situation is the same.
 
price is too high, and high ticket people usually goes to the other platform. that's the problem.
 
facebook traffic isn’t dead. easy arbitrage is dead. huge difference.

a lot of people got used to letting the algorithm carry weak funnels and weak angles. once competition increased, suddenly everyone blamed the traffic itself.

the platform still works, but it punishes lazy buying way harder now.
