Why is btc rising now ?

London-listed fintech Mode jumped 9% after announcing it would hold cash reserves in Bitcoin, following recent investments made by US tech firms Square and Microstrategy into the digital currency.
Mode, which has its own digital banking app, is looking to restyle its long-term strategy by moving away from low-interest market products.
"We said 'let's hold 10% of our assets in Bitcoin to start with,' because it made sense, and yesterday it made sense," said Jonathan Rowland, Mode's founder, referring to Bitcoin's leap after PayPal said it would let users buy and sell cryptocurrencies on its network.

PayPal allows Bitcoin and crypto spending. PayPal has entered the cryptocurrency market, announcing that its customers will be able to buy and sell Bitcoin and other virtual currencies using their PayPal accounts.

I think PayPal and their paper bitcoin is just noise.
I second your opinion. Also, if people don't have access to private keys and coins can't be moved, just BUY/SELL, I doubt they will buy/sell the coins for real. I think they are trying to profit, on the margins.

Buckle your seatbelts, we're going to the moon (in the next 3-8 years)

Heard it was to do with their being a good chance of another stimulus bill being passed in the US soon.

No one gives a shit about Paypal in the big scheme of things in the crypto space.. yep, it's good news because any major adoption is good news. But Paypal has gone from being an innovator to trying to catch up with the rest of the financial world rapidly running straight past it.. and it's failing.

As many have pointed out, they're not even doing this in the right way.

They will eventually create their own virtual currency and start selling it to dominate the market. So, it's best time to not hold coins anymore

I'm actually glad so many of you have negative feelings for crypto. This means there's plenty of space to grow.

I think it's normal

Bitcoin has always been rising, and falling and then rising again and falling again, and then rising. That is why it is bitcoin.
