Why is Bing Ads say Eligible yet im not getting any impressions or anything?
Could be a huge number of reasons.
1. you did not bid enough
2. you bid on something no one searches
3. you did it wrong.
You need to increase your bid to get good spot, If you bidding too low you are not going to get any tarffic. Bing dont have much traffic.
I see thanks my bid is at .60 i guess its too low for my keywords.
You need to increase your bid
You can still bid low and still get targeted traffic on bing. Depend on your approach and niche.
But, if it says eligible and you have no impressions, wait at least 24 hours - could be doing automatic review if you created a new campaign.
And .60 cent is more than enough in most niches. Average bid on Bing is around .33 to .41 cents.
If after 24 hours, you still don't have any impressions and your keywords have a decent amount of traffic per month, then your account/campaign is going under review...due to a variety of reasons like: having a pop up, lots of redirects, or url miss match...or having auto play video.
if you're bidding so low on very competitive KW like "diabetes" or "weight Loss" then now wonder why you have zero impressions..
especially if you're bidding on just a bunch of KW and not on all match types (i.e. you're bidding only exact match)
You can still bid low on the diabetes keyword and still get impressions and clicks. I have being doing Bing ads for a while, and I can tell you, I still get clicks as low as .14 cents and I still get a decent amount of traffic.
Matter of fact, I'm getting over 1000 clicks a day in Bing, with average bid of just .18 cents. This is targeted traffic, not broad.
Could you please share some tips you're using to reach such great results?
maybe you split into several adgroups matching ad text to KWs?
or any other techniques..?
Well, the first thing is, you have to write effective ads. Ads with click through rate below 5% I usually delete. So try and get your ads to stand out - which will result in more clicks. And yes, I use ad groups.
You also have to take into account your quality score. Usually my QS are all 7s and higher. In Bing quality score is very important - a low QS will result in less impression share for your Campaigns and higher bids. For example, we can both bid on the diabetes keyword, but if you have a QS of lets say 4, and I have a QS of 9, I can still bid low (depending on the niche) and get more impressions than you.
Also, biding only on exact keyword will limit your traffic a lot. For example, if you are in the diabetes niche (I cannot reveal my niche, this is just an example) you can bid on phrase match for diabetes and keywords that can be related to people suffering from diabetes - like blood sugar. and watch the traffic flood in.
The point is, you don't have to bid on exact keywords to get lots of targeted traffic. For example, someone with blood sugar problems, might also have diabetes right? So, try and think outside the box.
Traffic is really the easy part of the puzzle, but turning that traffic in to conversions is where most people get stuck.
Hope this helps.
You must be a very good copywriter since the average CTR for my ads is above 2% (which actually is still good)
Surely where I'm wrong is I didn't split my ads into agroups which i'll be doing right now!
I didn't get if you bid to broad match type KWs though..
usually i start with all types and then slowly decrease BROAD type once impressions are running well
anyhow, thanks a lot for your precious information!
