Why I'm not ranking better?

I made this exact keyword domain site with XSite Pro back in December. Site is made by Xfactor method (design that shitty green, too). All backlinks from profiles and few blog comments on high PR pages and two WEB 2.0 properties. I made over 100 profiles, but google refuses to index some of those profiles, no matter how much bookmarks, RSS submits and pinging I do to them. This website was once on 4th place and was making 2$ a day for 3 or 4 days straight, but then it dropped to 9th. I did more backlinking, but still doesn't move higher than fuckin 7th place. I'm frustrated. Could it be that site not ranking higher because it's .info domain?
BTW, site on 4th place has same shitty design, but no "exact keyword domain name" (it's one of it's subpages ranking, that subpage isn't even called right by SEO rules) and all backlinks from ezine articles. Why is it ranking higher? I'm not that lazy person, but I'm lacking motivation because, no matter how long I do it, I get nowhere (Or at least nowhere near the Top results).
Anyone willing to explain things to me? What should I do?

What do you define as high quality links?
Ezine articles, High PR blog comments, Social Bookmarks...?

High Pr Links also links from other websites that relate to your site. Check the back links from the competitors above you and try to get those back links as well. Some Social bookmarks seem to be in googles better graces such as Mixx, Digg and Folk. Book mark every page in your site then start working on deep linking your pages.

My competition is amazon and other stores. Do you suggest getting backlinks like amazon? 1st and 2nd place is taken by the authority product seller. And 4th place has only articles from Ezine pointing to it, that's all. So there's not much I can get from looking at their backlinks.

get a ebook from the download section called the google slingshot, set this method up and see what happens to your site, you be able to get all you links indexed and then you can find out what to do with the site after that, info sites do rank, just got to work on them just that bity more harder

Perhaps you should copy their link building strategy then.

if the person on 4th is only having EZA links, then you do it too. you might rank higher after that. add some EZA links.
