When I first came on BHW, there were methods you could copy word for word right now, and start making money within 30 minutes. With how big BHW (and IM in general) became, it would be foolish to put out anything that could get saturated overnight.
With that said, those BHW methods got me to where I am today. There's things that I learned years ago, hidden gems deep in BHW that's part of my strategy to this day. I think it's great to take inspiration from other people, strategies that work or were working to expand your thought process.
Same. 10+ years ago on BHW, there were many awesome CPA, craigslist, ewh0ring methods, email submits, yahoo answers, twitter, SEO, content locking, etc.
It's how I made my first big money. Viral facebook fanpages got me to my first 6 figures.
However, many of those methods generated only like $20-30 a day. And if you scaled, it wasn't guaranteed to last in the long run. They were great tactics to get you started, but NOT to build a foundation on.
OP has a point. Many of these tactics, especially if given away by someone else, won't last in the long run (i know if i make good money, i am NOT sharing the exact tactic. i might share the overall strategy, but that's it. why introduce competition?). And the tactics i see these days are... not so good.. The peak of 'make money' BHW methods was 2008-2011.
Nowadays I'm building a real business selling a high ticket service - with branding, PR, organic social, paid media, SEO, email marketing, - all thanks to the knowledge and money I first learned from BHW.
However, there's not a lot of great content here on building your own business. But BHW is excellent for getting started as a newbie.
BHW is also perfect for its marketplace.. so many good SEO services, proxies, software, etc.
I also think 10+years ago there were so many methods and opportunities to make money, that you didn't have to worry about the competition. New traffic methods were always popping up, and people didn't have the software or knowledge to saturate a niche to death.
Nowadays, there's only like 3-4 social media networks and the big G SEO. The landscape has stagnated. Thus, it's dangerous to share any working method, since everyone is going to the same few traffic sources, and everyone can utilize software/knowledge to saturate it to death (e.g. i have a method to getting tons of leads on reddit. that method will never die unless reddit makes a big change, but if i shared it, then I'm just shooting myself in the foot).
But that also spells opportunity. Because if you can master those few social media networks and SEO (and they are NOT going anywhere for at least the next 5+ years), then you will have a very long lasting and sustainable business.
