Why I Don't Use Clickbank...

As an Affiliate, I love Clickbank, always pays on time. No Snoopy affiliate manager asking where your traffic is from. And no merchant deciding not to pay you problems. Although once in a while they have tracking problems.

As a Vendor, I love Clickbank. All these years, there are always new affiliates hopping on to promote my listed product even though I wasn't actively looking for them.

I LOVE CLICKBANK! :D

what's the alternative then?
I'm planning to publish product for the first time and CB fee for only one product is too much for me as I don't know what to expect

I've had good luck with clickbank as an affiliate and so/so luck as a publisher. Some of the refund situations are a complete joke. I still prefer clickbank to most other alternatives, but if you are a publisher just prepare yourself for the occasional foolish refund and competitor mess.

- cookies policy is not affiliate friendly but merchant friendly (last cookie gets credit instead of first cookie)
How is that merchant friendly? Whats the difference for merchant which affiliate got the commission (first one to place a cookie or the second, or third - whichever is last)?

On top of that its actually affiliate friendly. Lets say you send visitor to some site and he does not buy, he forgets about that ebook. 20 days later I send that same visitor to same ebook and he decides to buy. Of course its fair that I get the commission! It was me who made them buy, not you.

- merchants can easily steal commission from affiliates

Elaborate.

Clickbank has some good products and some horrible products.

You gotta see through the difference!

wow op has 5 posts... ClickBank is a great system. I own a couple of products and it's worth every penny. Here is why. They affiliates find you. Tracking is great and work. They now have upsells. The only downside is refunds. I agree with that. But if you make a good product you will not have many refund. I think I got maybe 5 in a couple years of selling on there.

He's right. All of you complaining that it sucks should just quit IM in my opinion. Scratch that, keep thinking that it sucks and let the real blackhatters dominate it. So what you get a refund? If you really know how to bring in the hits, you wouldn't give two shits about refunds because you'd be making tons of money anyways.

Hmmm... as a merchant I think Clickbank is pretty good and most things are automated. But there definitely are issues with the payment processing and refunds.

I have seen Plimus mentioned but what other processor would you recommend? Any processors that also provide a built in affiliate network?
