Why I Don't Use Clickbank...

One of the main reasons (although not they only reason) that I do not use clickbank is limited affiliate tracking & recruitment, limited customizations of order forms, layout and ordering process, high transaction fees, no shopping cart, limited integration of business services, poor piracy protection, poor tracking, high set-up fee, poor server uptime, excessive tracking glitches and too much exposure to competitors (I like to keep a low-profile against competitors - this way they can't catch on quickly as I take over their market niche - which will allow me to hold my position against them permanently -instead of giving them time to protect their business from losing - I like to stab it on it's back) and many other cons - I have chosen clickbank is not right for me.

So why or why not is clickbank right for you? Discuss

Bottom line is money, i make a decent monthly income on Clickbank so i am happy!

Indeed. They are kind of lagging behind advances in e-commerce features and standard industry features along with customization demanded these days along with many other issues.

Not saying clickbank is completely bad - just pointing out some drawbacks and limits instead of trying to paint it as the best thing since slice bread. Clickbank is only good for some people, others would probably be better off with alternatives.

"High set-up fee" - It's $49.95 to have your product approved and placed on the marketplace. With that attitude, you probably shouldn't be a merchant in the first place.

"Poor piracy protection" - Protection against fraudulent downloads isn't really up to the payment processor. You should be putting in place your own precautions and security measures to protect from non-paying downloads, from site based protection, all the way to individually activated licenses.

I personally don't use ClickBank at the moment, tried it as an affiliate, wasn't particularly enthusiastic about it (more of the concept of digital good sales than the platform though).
 
I've never used CB as a publisher, but from affiliate point of view - things got pretty bad and I almost completely got out. I used to make quite a bit with the solar power and such, but it's been over for me for a while...
 
High refund rate!! They let users refund for just about anything. I've got a refund saying "lalalalala" ... literally... lol (most had no reason) ... You cant stop users from refunding either.. Even the best products that deliver well get like 30% refund rate!

It depends bro. For some people $49.95 is a lot of money for them that would be better saved for hosting & domain name. Trust me - they are a lot of people who would be very happy to get 50 bucks for free.

So for some people the risk is not worth it since they are noobs & have no real assurance that their product launch will be a success.

You don't spend money in business just for the sake. Even if you have money - little costs add up, bro. By all means, if clickbank is really suitable for you & you really feel like it's perfect for your needs - than I agree, pay the 49.95 as an investment & fee to access thousands of affiliate marketers. Along with having a lot of business time saved by clickbank handling it for you.

For some people - I would defiantly suggest clickbank or something similar to it but some businesses shouldn't use clickbank.

Just my logic on why I have that attitude & mindset of looking at clickbank.
 
I don't use clickbank, because of all the people that they screwed out of money including 85.00 of mine.

Yup too many leachers in clickbank - both serial refunders & spying
 
My worst refund product is 20%. Most others i market are like 1%.

Yep CB refund system truly sucks. For any given payout rate you're really looking at a rate that's effectively 10-30% lower because of refunds. Fuckers.
 
Clickback is sweet and sour in my opinion.

Sourness:
- a lot of the above already mentioned
- affiliates get screwed a lot (depending on the market)
- cookies policy is not affiliate friendly but merchant friendly (last cookie gets credit instead of first cookie)
- merchants can easily steal commission from affiliates

Sweetness:
- easy market research (follow the top dogs in a niche for a few months, yes months and you can learn a ton)
- easy setup (affiliate and merchant)
- best way to enter a market (start as an affiliate, learn what works, make better product, create better marketing, recruit know affiliates in same market, bank)
- easy affiliate program

All that being said, I stopped actively promoting their products. Don't know if it was timing or not but shortly after doing a heavy adwords promotion on content network where I lost over $1000 promoting a health offer my adwords account was banned. Really stung me hard and so I have no love for Clickbank EXCEPT to abuse its open marketing research data as best I can.

With CB, you have to be very picky with the affiliate program you want to sign up to and go with the ones that have a good rep. As for publishing, I always questioned why go with them for $49 when other networks like Plimus have no setup fee.
 
Don't use Clickbank, because they don't pay via paypal. Cheques will a few months till they get here where I'm from. So I rather use CPA companies.

CB for sure. CB might have its flaws but they're basically honest. CJ are widely reputed to be some of the dodgiest fucks out there.
 
Yeah actually as far as money goes Clickbank has given me the most. so far i've made 20 dollars for every 200 hops for one of my product. I know I could do more too but I am currently working out all the kinks in my SEO program.

Once I am finished getting my seo blueprint ready I will be selling as many clickbank products as I can.

As a side not can anyone say what the most success affilliate program they have used.

Also Mr. Rockefeller I was wonder what affiliate programs you do suggest. Personally I would like to be affiliate for as many as possible to always have back up plan. Your advice is much appreciate. Thanks alot. Peace.
