HTTPS is foundation for trust, features, and user behavior. Browsers, users, and search engines all prefer secure environments, so switching to HTTPS directly improves credibility, conversions, and overall site performance.
 
They used to charge monthly subscription for SSL certificates. I'm sure many still do. Let's encrypt solved this issue and cloudflare took care of it. HTTPS is no longer a luxury and most sites implement it as soon as they launch.
 
Honestly, using HTTPS is a must today, it protects visitors, makes your site look trustworthy, and even helps you rank better.
 
Today, it is a necessity to protect users and their data. So, the http protocol, in my opinion, does not even exist today.
 
Totally agree HTTPS isn’t just a “technical checkbox” anymore. It affects trust, user behavior, browser compatibility, and even how search engines treat your site.
 
Non https isn't even a thing any more, except for testing local websites during development
 
HTTPS isn’t a “nice-to-have” anymore, it’s the baseline. Without it, trust, features, and rankings all take a hit. It's one of the simplest upgrades with the biggest impact.
