Why have the Youtube Views prices gone up?

I'm told that they used to be much cheaper, and by browsing some threads on the marketplace i saw that the prices used to be almost 5x to 10x cheaper than they are right now.

From what I've seen lately the price per 1k views is from $3 to $4 with legit sites. What caused this rise increase in prices?

3. Increase in minimum salary for Microworkers
