Why has this not been created ?

HI Friends,
I am a beginner programmer..but i have seen macros and bots in action.

A thought occurred to me and i came up with a question

Why has someone not created a Web bot that can:

1. do a search for a keyword term
2. find a specific advertiser on the first page
3. click the ad
4. and then follow through with click through(s).
5. all this done by a web bot.
6. ? ? ?

POINT: Would this not create the illusion of a successful PPC campaign ?

I'm sure the technology is available....or am i wrong?

From what I understand this sounds super dumb.

Are we talking about your own ppc advert? Your own website with ppc adverts or just random adverts?

If it's your own PPC advert, then you're paying for your bot to click the advert... which is stupid.

If it's your own website and you get money from clicks then thats a no go. Any ppc network worth anything can tell when a click is fake. Even with proxies, clever programming to mimic natural activity, it's still damn obvious.

Please correct me if I've misunderstood your question...

I don`t see why it's not possible, you would need to use a VPS and a large amount of private proxies to emulate the right type of actions. You would probably be better off using a click macro.

This is possible, but even though CTR and conversions would look sexy... at the end of the day how many sales or credit cards were swiped at the end? That's what matters. This would be zero because it's a bot. So regardless of stats no one will fund zero sales that long. Is it possible sure, is it the best use of your finite time on earth, no.

POINT IS...you could drive a competitor OUT OF BUSINESS with a bot that would click their ads and drive their costs through the roof. That was my point. That would be TRUE BLACKHAT techique.

So, that being said, has anyone or does anyone think this "bot" has been created?"

thats not blackhat, thats fraud and bad move. How would you feel if someone did the same to you?

You are not inventing anything new, trust me on that. Doing that to g.ads used to work flawlessly until 2004 sometime. It was easy to make 20k per month with 9% click-through with 100% wacky clicks, and worked like a charm. A few made over a million. Most of us made over 100k at least for each ads account. Then G.ads started clipping account without explanation. So we opened new ones but those lasted first 3 months, then it was a cat an mouse game till about 2006, but no matter how clever we got, they always sniffed us out. Since 2007, they will get u almost 100% of the time.


How? People who click on links don't just materialize out of thin air, click on something, and then disapear again for a few hours or days, only to return again but only to clack on links. Humans just dont behave like that. They surf the web, they do stuff, and that stuff and surfing is likely taking place on websites that have Analytics installed, or via the G.ads search engine. So G.ads has a profile of the individual clicker. Then its as simple as profiling it against the thousands of previous attempts to game G.ads. And all this is done automatically ofcourse. And then you are unmasked. G.ads is a complex piece of the big G.ads puzzle, and blowing up competitors by clicking on their banners has been around at least since linkexch..e back in 1998.


So the answer is, yes it has been created when that was in play, but since that's no longer the case, then people create instead the things which are in play. And by the way if you want to hurt a competitor there are much easier ways to do that with a different type of bot which makes the most of a different weakness. But you on the right track. Keep thinking and testing things out since there are infinite possibilities, and one of em is gonna hit paydirt.

adwords isnt that stupid.. it can easily identify fake clicks.

Exactly my thoughts. Unless you want to burn somebody's PPC budget

Remember about karma Bad idea buddy... Better think about something innovative, what can help people get more customers....

There are bots out there that do this, but PPC/ad-networks are pretty smart and they have masses of data on what a real users actions are.
