Why Google is not showing cache Date?

There are no options to check 'cache files' via Google. however, some third-party sites, like the "wayback machine", show historical versions of the page

Wayback machine is the only way to check cache now.

You can still do this, but it's been hidden slightly:

Click the 'Tools' button

You can see the old 'about xxx results' output on the right hand side (still not accurate though)
