They are constantly doing alot of changes in their algorithm, and their answers to these changes are produced as updates.

So, we cant question them, we just need to keep updating in finding ways to stay in the game.

Because people were giving themselves 5 stars, in schema plugin there was a option user rating and the webmasters could put it 5 stars and google would show all 5 stars in SERP rankings

Was so easy to abuse lol. Hopefully it'll balance out now and sort everything. Maybe the big G might stop giving us constant updates <3

Shops and Marketplaces are not affected by this change... They can also manipulate star rating !

There are many WordPress plugins available for increasing ratings. My colleagues used a few plugins and got higher SERP. Google identified this after many months and perhaps removed this parameter to judge a website.
