I was watching some amazon fba tutorial on youtube and the in-stream video ad played. It was garyvee's ad telling me he doesn't want to sell me anything and that I should go and subscribe to his channel if i want to real valuable content.

I don't have problem with his ad but I have watched his previous videos and he said he never wants to hit a million subs on youtube.

Anyone have any idea why is he promoting his youtube channel from ads?

Because he wants to sell you stuff.

I watch his DailyVee vlog and not noticed him selling anything to me. I think he already has enough clients :D

That guy sometimes really sucks.

He's a good guy but never on the level of other dudes like Tim, Seth, Tony.

Check this interview -

P.s I'd never like to be at one of his speeches. All he talks about are his dad's Wine Biz, Belarussia, nothing that you can implement and make money with it.

BHW has so much better articles to read than spending the time to his crap.

I think he might be serious about not wanting to sell you anything.

I think he just wants to build himself up as one of the biggest influencers in the entrepreneur space, with a huge audience etc.
Maybe later he will try sell something who knows

Nah you forget one thing.
He is selling, but not to the average consumer.

He is selling social media services and advertising to the big boys.

So he is giving out free value to the average joe in return for subs and views.
But he banks on the backend cause the more people follow
and see him as a legit source for business advice.

The more he can sell himself as an expert in the field.
And big brands like nike pay a shit ton of money for quality consulting or advertisement deals.

He says he always wants to be the best, maybe he just wants to have as many subs as he can.. (Probably also sell them shit later though..)

This guy knows whats up

GaryVee's goal is to help and make people realise how big the internet is, so once you're motivated and ashieved some of your goals you will always have respect to him, which makes you buy , or follow his content more..

His start was good,he had business already going on,he didnt start from 0.001.Many people given opportunity to run million business at hand would go ahead and do it.I like more the ones who achieve shit from nothing, not like he,he never did not have food,he never was totally broke.he had to work alot,oh well you know,we all fakin do.People work at 2 works mcdonals day and night some other job, they aint millionaires, and he like OHHH i worked for 10 years non stop,ur a hero, millions people worldwide work like this and they barely have any money to put food in their table, ofc im speaking about worst states/countries with lowest wages, but the point is,in my opinion,fk his mentality.ofc you should just scramble you need and not pay attention to him but sometimes he just goes straight arguments like you you do it and everything starts flying ur way like from magic movie, yeah in ur life with ur start, sure do,not for everybody tho.

You have to understand where he makes his money, it's not from you. It is from huge organizations that purchase social media and marketing services from him. Him building up his brand is a way to show that he knows what hes doing. He's not worried about your little $ that you would bring in, in fact I've never even seen him try to sell a product other than the crappy shoes addidas put out.

Used to be a time when the only thing he sold direct to consumers was his books which pretty much had the goal of getting his advice out there, showing his clients he knows what he's doing, and getting some keynotes.

Lately though he's been selling and promoting more and more stuff. Pushing hard on wine, his shoes, whatever else he might have. I don't really think his ultimate goal is selling you stuff, but if he sells a bit and can run ads at a net 0 that's HUGE for him because it shows his growing audience it helps him impress his clients.

He says a lot of things he doesn't know. For freelance writers, he suggested they keep writing on medium to get seen.

I mean, that's one way of approaching it, but, may take years to get recognition that way.

Never even advised about blogging or cold emailing to the ones looking for writing work.

He's like: Keep pushing out content, and after 2-5 years down the line, someone will notice you.

Bullshit.

That's called the long game, and is far from bullshit. If you're not looking to churn and bun for a few dollars, this is exactly how you build a real company that lasts a long time and brings in way more money.

These ppl are using the ppl who follow them as platform to gain more authority, trust and exposure which results in BIG CLIENTS.

All they are doing is to create sharable content which inspire the bunch of d#mb fooo###ks out there.

I dunno how ppl cannot understand this.

No dude, I'm starving now. I'd rather send cold emails and earn money.

I get what you're saying, but you're wrong, sadly.
