I followed 200 accounts in my niche in a span of 5 days and only got 2 followers. All of the followers came on the first day. Does F/UF strategy no longer work? I'm doing it manually btw.

I get 40 FB from 150 Follows, its not dead. Something is off.

What is your niche?
How much content you posted?
Is your targeting right?
Where did you follow the accounts from?
Do you have a proper username and optimised bio?

1. Finance
2. I have a total of 17 posts. I try to post once a day.
3. I try to follow accounts that engage with similar accounts as my account
4. I have a proper bio

You have to understand that it's not just follow/unfollow, it's your content and the niche you're in. The ideal is to look for relevant content and clone it with your own touch. Make reels continuously and add follow/unfollow + post likes + stories views likes. The finance niche you have to work with key content. Otherwise people will not follow you.

The tactic is still good, but you have to work more on improving your conversion rate/profile, and add likes along with the follows but keep actions moderate to avoid bans. Also, you're having a very small sample to draw any conclusions right now. Keep at it and see how you convert/attract followers after a few weeks of consistent work.

F/U is like asking Lakers fans who the greatest basketball player of all time is and expecting them to say Larry Bird. Yeah, not gonna happen.

I know people who spent years building a few Twitter accounts and managed to get millions of followers in total, but their engagement is so low it’s like they only have 10 followers.

F/U is basically just inflating follower numbers without any real value.

Those followers aren’t going to become your customers because they’re dealing with the same problem.

If they follow you back, it just means they’re trying to sell the same thing you’re trying to sell to them.

Maybe it worked for some people 5 - 10 years ago, but today? It’s just a waste of time.

You could be following inactive users, make sure you're following users that have have recently liked a post or something

old method, doesnt work as well anymore but some say is who you target with the accounts

As someone said above, you're probably following inactive users

I used to get 100 back for 500 follows a few months back. It is not worth anymore. Also, followers gained though this won't react to your posts as well.

Follow Back ratio in the Finance niche is very low. And other factors like the authority of your account and the quality of your posts also play a big role in all this.
