Why even Ping? High quantity over a few Pinged.

Since we have the tools to mass produce links, why do we even ping?

Since it can be difficult to make 30 White Hat links by hand then it is necessary to ping them to make sure that they are indexed.

If you xrumer/scrapebox why would someone ping those backlinks, Google will find them eventually no?

Wouldn't it be safer to make 10,000 scrapebox links and not ping them then to make 1,000 white hat links and ping them?


Am I wrong?

Of course it's better to link your backlinks instead of pinging them.
Better chance of getting them indexed and eventually this will increase the link juice to your money site.

Pinging is pretty outdated these days. Ping spam is out of control, there must be billions and billions of pings going out every day.

I ping all my xrumer backlinks with linklicious combined with drip feed blasts. It helps my low quality links be found faster, and get found before the forums delete the profiles. Google will less likely crawl a page on an overspammed forum without a ping to it. Here's a chart done by linklicious that shows the benefits of their link+RSS pinging

For my xrumer blasts i use http://pingdevice.com is cool i see a turn around in 3 days in serps, good for a free service

Linklicious look like does a similar job as pingback optimizer wp plugin.

I think pinging is overrated these days. Plus, you want your links to look natural to the search engines...there's nothing natural about pinging some spammy link with a hundred different pinging services. And if you use Wordpress, your new posts get pinged automatically.

Pinging doesn't increase your rankings directly, but it does get orphaned links (like profiles) found which does increase your rankings. And since profiles are so poorly crawled, pinging (and tracking pings) works well.

I have been playing with ping auto and it is doing a good job of getting my backlinks indexed. Pinging is probably not the most effective method but all I have to is add a new set of backlinks every day and let it run, maybe not most effective but the least time consuming, at least imho
