Why even experienced members fall for get rich quick schemes?

Example are some people I know who recently invested in a scam coin because it promised very high returns. They are in online business from quite some time.
Sometimes those scam do pump before getting dumped. So some people do end up making money out of it.

I mean, everything is deemed a scam coin initially. I made some good money earlier last year on BTC, DOGE, Shiba, and a couple others. ALL of which I've seen articles & social posts about how they're a scam & you'll lose your money.

People want to make money man. People will take risks to make it. Some of them don't do proper research. Some of them just get lucky with profits & timing.

People tend to fall for these because They want to get rich quickly. This is not new either - Chain Letters, Adele Spitzeder, Charles Ponzi and if you really want to go back - read about Gregor MacGregor.

Today the temptation is even bigger because there is a quick way to get to mass of people - The Internet and Social Media.

Anyway, people will always want and try to become rich, if it's quick then better. problem is it's all a scam.

If the scheme is well orchestred, everyone can fall for it.

It's like the covid vaccine scheme, ask @reaaski he will tell you about it

Ps: trigger joke

Everyone's point of view of what constitutes a get rich quick scheme is different, so this thread will be pointless in the end. A pure scam coin can be traded profitably if you already suspect 99% that its a scam coin. A Smart trader will time their entry and exit before it all comes down. And your risk appetite determines also how it will all turn out. So basically, one mans meat is another man's poison.

Mainly because they lack patience and consistency in what they are doing, even if they have experience, it doesn't mean they will be willing to move on after some failure. Or, on the other hand, because they set impossible goals, for example, getting rich isn't the proper goal itself, as you can dedicate yourself to becoming rich just like that. You need to have a clear vision ahead of you to be able to achieve that.
