Why don't more people use freelancer for SEO?

There are some teams with 5 star reviews and seem to have very decent prices. There are 2 reputable members I was looking at.

On average, I see it is about $300 to rank 1st page for 5 keywords. I guess my question is why aren't more people using guys like them? Not to take anything away from the bhw services here, I'd just rather pay $300 for guaranteed results for 5 keywords than $250 for a package with 2 keywords and no guarantee rank increase.

BHW staff might take it as an advertising. ! Do think what you post.

I'd be careful, as with most of those freelancing websites the quality of work is usually no that great. Be sure you know 100% what you're getting into and that it won't damage your site. The services posted here might not guarantee results but they're at least transparent about the work that will be done to your site.

Yes I actually tried these "Guarnateed results" for $300-$600, they all gave up and my keywords were not as hard, chose 4 people with good reviews, they agreed they could rank me without an issue, that is why I DON'T use them.

I guess the only issue I see with that is time wasted

Same experience that Luka here.

In my opinion is a HUGE Waste of time, and usually their spammy work (supposing they do any work) will even damage your site and rankings.

yeah agreed, the quality of work is sometimes less then par. I wouldnt take their "guarantees" very seriously. for $300 a month i dont think anybody can guarantee first page anything.....

i have however used them in the past and for some cheap link building and such it aint bad.

From what I've seen on freelancer is that its worse than CL with spam. Tons of bullshit people messaging you every 3 hours to accept their offer. Their English is terrible and they are super pushy.

Any one that have some experience about SEO know that this is a hard game and never the same. So any one that tell you the he can guarantee #1 in my opinion is just a waste of time.

I say that for two reason... if any one can guarantee that why bother to offer you this kind of service for $300 when he can achieve that by rising 1 website, so why do not use their knowledge to rank their own website?

Second because they can hurt your website. Is like a lottery... they have some automated system.. so load your website and hit run if it works he take the money if not no problem since was automated and no hard work involve... I saw that in DMOZ submission. There was and maybe still are a few guys that ask you for $300 and they only submit your website to DMOZ(this take 15min) and if the site was good enough to be approve then take the money and if not this was it... no waste for 15min.

A few month a go when I was sell my seo service I always tell to ones who ask for SERP result this:

I offer a SEO service not a SEO campaigne, I do some of the work for you. Is your problem how you use my service and how you integrate it in your SEO campaign. What I can guarantee is that I offer you what I promise nothing less.

No matter how good my blog comments was and no matter if I post you 10k comments on PR5 website the result will be total waste of time is you do not have the basics on site SEO.

And why people chose to by single services here instead of buying a full seo campaign is because the offer good quality service, people here deliver every time what they offer.

All depend upon your requirement and getting results, if you feel good with worker and results, I think you go with freelance, results is important, in freelance site you discuss with worker and checking plan, here you have more option before select and start work with worker.

This freelance sites also consists of scammers.We should be very careful.First they ask to keep money in escrow.It recently happened with me,he asked me to set up google analytics so that i can track traffic,when he started to send traffic to my money site.I could not see anything in my google analytics account,he started claiminghe sent all traffic and requested me to release money.When i replied i did not get any traffic,he started saying he can show his server logs.He comlained to support and stolen my money.I could not do anything.

I guess i'll be using the trusted members here on bhw then!

Its really about how you define their goal.

Getting N very specific backlinks for $300 might be a good deal.
Getting to 1st position for $300 is always a gamble.
