It sounds to me like you're suffering from depression, man. Doing stuff like exercising and changing up your diet can help, as can getting involved in some kind of new and exciting project or hobby. A lot of the time the problem is that all your days are exactly the same, and you have nothing specific to work towards. Maybe a new hobby? If you can afford it it never hurts to talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist. If you're facing a real chemical imbalance in the brain, medication is an option.

The answer's fairly simple.

You need a boss.

There's not something wrong with you. On the contrary you're like 80-85% of the population who are unable to work without a boss. Most need fear as a motivator. Fear of losing their job.

When you're working for yourself you don't have that fear once you've made enough to eat and pay the basic bills, which you say you have. Making money above and beyond the basic needs isn't fear-motivated, so you need to find something else within.

The solution is:

Get a boss

or

Become a boss

A boss doesn't care about money, so you can't be a boss by wanting money. People that want money are people who don't have money and people who don't have money don't have it because they don't have the right mentality, the boss mindset.

A boss wants to build something, be a leader, build an empire. The motivation you'll get from wanting to build something is 10x stronger than the motivation you'll get from wanting money.

Look at athletes.. The ones who reach world and olympic level don't do it because they want to "look good". They do it because they want to reach their absolute maximum human potential, then go even further and they want to do it for their country. THAT is why they can train 8 hours a day and push through excruciating pain.

People who want to look good won't have that motivation. Once they hit some pain they'll push a bit, but it's not a strong motivator.

You need to ask yourself what it is you want from life and find that thing you really want. Once you find it you won't have motivation problems. Money is *NOT* it. For *ANYONE*. Money only makes achieving your dreams easier and more fun, but money is NOT the dream.

lol, he's not suffering from depression. Being frustrated because you've not made millions yet is hardly clinical depression! 95% of this forum are frustrated at their income.

I can see where your coming from but I would have to disagree. I am just the same and I'm the same at work as I am at home. Its down to self confidence and that little voice in our heads that keeps telling us its not going to work, or that we are wasting our time. It all comes back to what will smith was saying. The key to life is running and reading.

Take some time away from computer. Run, lift weights, freshen up, take shower, eat healthy and eat some chocolate. All these will help your mind, I know because I always feel happier after doing all this.

Also, avoid reading BHW for a week and get your head down and work. Turn TV, radio PS3 etc off and just work hard. I find im probably ten times more productive when I take a break from BHW as i usually read a lot and not do anything with the knowledge.

Also, Ask yourself where you want to be in 2 years time remind yourself each day then go for it. Good luck.

Amazing. All replies from here are very helpfull on how to do things. Right now I've got a notebook and there I will wrote my to-do-list for the next day. I know I need to make things, I can't get my dreams if I'm staying so If I'm failing that list it's obivous why I don't get what I want.

Thanks a lot guys for all these replies. This forum is a real community, I'm feeling like I have a lot of good friends which can help me to move on when I have bad days, and this is very hard to get in real life. Really I really appreciate all these replies, very helpful and motivational.

I hope this thread will be helpful for others, not just for me because it's really strange to be in such a situation when your mind plays games with you... simply you don't have a feeling to make something.

Anyway, I'm feeling more better now - I'm gonna make my to-do list for tomorrow and after that I will take a fresh air walk.

Thanks a lot, friends.

What your going through is actually really common (I would think), I am going through something similar myself.

Let me ask you this:

-Do you start a project get half of it done then...
-- Run into something hard and it feels like your mind is trying to block it out so you forget about it?
-- You finished all the fun stuff and move on to another project just to do all the fun stuff on that project? Basically never getting any of the important stuff done.
-- You realize you want money now and you don't see this project making any money soon so you just quit.
-- You start thinking of all the things wrong with the project and get very overwhelmed.
-- Something is always in the way? Any time a small barrow gets in the way it stops all production?

In conclusion, you just feel overwhelmed because your not making enough money and you want to do something about it RIGHT NOW. But its impossible to fix a problem like that so quickly... Overwhelmed.

I honestly don't have an answer to your question I just know how you feel. Sometimes writing it out or listening to someone else talk about helps (that's what I am doing here.)

Best of luck to the both of us.

I have been where you are, it's called Procrastination (google it). You just need to get a good wake-up call OR it might be connected to slight depression which you can get meds for. I suggest you start running or lifting weights. That works for me. Good luck to you bro.

You are not alone, many people feel the same in some periods. Its not big deal and you can fix it. First of all you have to realize that you are just a lazy ass (me too).

Too much time in front of the PC + some depressive mindset = your energy is gone. This combination will drain your power and you will be even more unproductive in future. So you have to take some actions:

1) Add some time for sport in your day. This is very important. (if you do it early in the morning the effect is even better)

2) To-do-list and plan. (you already start it)

3) And now its time for the Action Machine  My favorite tool, my best friend and my biggest enemy. Have a look here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...hine-stop-procrastinating-get-great-tool.html

Here is what I suggest you do:

You are basically in a shitty mood. It's not depression, it's not some kind of mental plateau.

Whenever I am in a shitty mood and that's affecting my work, I like to laugh, a lot.

There is a thread here called [GET] WSO Super Hard Core D1ck Mega Inner Circle Mega Affiliate Plan - How I made 27862882272239782.83 in 7 minutes! With NO WORK!

or something along those lines.

Whenever I read that thread I laugh so hard, because it's just so god damn funny. That brings my mood up and I can now work again;

Take two hours off and watch these two vids (You canget them off thepiratebay)

Kevin Hart - Laugh At My Pain
Kevin Hart - I'm a grown little man.

Than guy is hularious.

Juts trust me, read that thread, watch Kevin and eat something sweet, like a cake or candy.

Your mood will go up and you will see the brighter side of life!

And when you do - ask yourself if you would be able to enjoy yourself like this if it wasn't for your IMing. The answer will come naturally and then you will be
ready to go.

Money is not why you are into IM. t's because IM let's you look at life differently and enjoy it more.

Those are just my two cents.

hey! if it's any help i'm in a terrible situation also and i am so sure anyone could have it worse than me. You are so lucky you are not me, because I have problems with the law enforcement, in my family, all my friends turned away from me, the love of my life left me. It was like a terrible blow last week. I felt so useless and unworthy and all i wanted was to fall asleep and never wake up crying at home the whole day. I had break-ups before and at least i was angry and wanted to prove I am great and successful (and did) but not this time. I have nothing to prove to anyone and even have no desire. I can't see any light for myself.

Cheer up, doesn't sound so bad for you though!

I really think that what you need is some Xanax, you can get it without prescription in some online drug store. It will clear your mind from depressing thoughts so you will be able to concentrate upon things at hand. Like work. get xanax and it will help you cope through depressing times!

Oh man, I really love this forum.
I was in the same situation (mentally) and I can't tell you to how many people I told off for not believing in me...They were not real friends. I almost stopped working in IM last month and I wanted to get a job but I decided to give it another shot, another 6 months but FOCUSED on one area. I cancelled all software's I did not use, I decided to do only CPA and write a project and keep it on track every day whatever happens. I can see the results just after 1 week. I think you MUST believe in what you do 100%. If you do not believe in it, who will? Sit down, decide on 1 thing and DO IT! I watched few movies that helped me a lot (as I cannot count on my friends nor family who slowly believe I am insane..). I recommend "What the Bleep do we know?". It helped me to understand why I felt depressed and when you watch it, Trust me, you will be surprised..The movie is long but it is worth. Another thing I did, I got a work buddy. He lives in another country and every week we write and communicate on Skype about what we do. He isn't in IM but it works also. You shall have someone you respect and if you don't keep your word, it would make you feel bad. Good luck and never give up! Never ever give a reason to those around you to make fun of you! Go in a crowded place during rush hour and look how those people waste their time to make money for their bosses, from 8 to 8. I swear to God, I will never ever waste my time to make money for any boss and be paid peanuts for my efforts. Think of how was it before when you had a job and decide what you want to do and STICK TO IT UNTIL IT WORKS!
Is there anyone interested in IM buddy system?

Take some rest man, and reward yourself then go back to work.
