Why doesn't BHW get de-indexed?

de-indexing this site doesn't mean making this site disappear. Direct visits to this site is far higher than the traffic through google (It is my assumption).

There is no single reason for de-indexing this site.

1) It provides users with valuable information(good content).
2) Great user experience.
3) Built in a good platform and easy to navigate.

If google de-indexes this site, then it means they are actually going against their own norms.

Deindexing BHW would mean a lot of jobs being lost in the Google department. They need people to hunt down because it won't be a lot of fun without people to play with. We also need them because without their search engine, people can't find us and we can't make any money.
 
There is nothing better than a community site where they do not rely on search engine, do you think bHW cares about google, let assume they got deindex, will it stop you or me just typing blackhatworld.com on the browser?

Prohibition does not work - in any field of life. It adds glamour and even more possibilities for corruption and dodgy profit than anything else.

Google does not want to be know as censoring stuff just because "it doesn't like it"

There is nothing wrong here. No race hate, porn, push to violence. It's just stuff Google doesn't particularly approve of.
If news got out that G were "censoring the web" what do you think many people would do?

If the general media has headlines like "Google censors xxxx" The outcry would be massive - people would leave in droves.

It only takes one massive screw up and G fail. Don't think it couldn't happpen. It would take 30 seconds for people to say "sod it - I'm using Yahoo" and if enough do that it's bye bye "Big G". It's the sort of thing that could happen overnight, and has prescident.


Look what happened to "News International"
"Google sell personal data for profit" or "Google security risk means accessing your bank through their browser/search engine could compromise your passwords" Or even "Google boss in tax evasion scam"

Anything..

And you know what. One day something like this is almost BOUND TO HAPPEN. If the rest of the media picks it up and makes a run with it (like they sometimes do) that could be the end of them overnight.

Censoring the web for no good reason is one bananaskin they know they have to avoid - it could be one step down the slippery slope to failure for them, and they know it.

A majority of people hate censorship like this, and changing the default search engine in your browser takes 20 seconds.

That means Google are always 20 seconds from failure if they make a wrong move like this if enough people make that decision.

Google is not against innovations, they're just against shitty websites which appear on the first page

I disagree. This is Google were talking about here, there not just going to go down overnight.... There's no way that them taking down a site that in its very nature is hostile to them is going to give them a bad enough rep that they lose a majority of their users. I could see MAYBE .1 percent of their users leaving, but that wouldn't affect them at all. If google were to take down BHW, I would honestly be pissed, but honestly I would probably still be using them as my SE because there just isnt any great alternatives.

PS sorry for bumping this thread up from no-where, it came up on my google search...
 
The actual reason is Google doesn't deindex any sites unless it's illegal, they fight against stuff like SOPA and if they started censoring sites they don't like it would go against what they believe.
 
Why do you guys think anything you do does anything except allow google to charge more for ads?
 
This is simply the real reason imo:

It would be a major sign of weakness and intimidation if G de-indexed the number #1 BH forum, and it wouldn't achieve the goal of making it go away. If they de-indexed BHW, it would retain its membership and all the other IM forums would talk about it. The industry SE blogs and news sites would likely report on it. etc.. etc.. I doubt G has even considered de-indexing or even slapping BHW.
