Why does youtube kill the reach of old channels?

HonestlyYouTube isn’t trying to kill old channelsit’s mostly shifting viewer interest and algorithm priorities, so reach can drop over time.

Personally i don’t think youtube does this on purpose and reach can change over time because of viewers or competition or content or algorithm updates because a drop in reach doesn’t mean the channel is finished.
